No one was going to come to work until Tuesday. There was nothing that Mr Coates could do. He had to wait until one of his co-workers came to work and found him. With nothing to eat or drink, Mr Coates ended up sleeping for most of the time. When the lift was opened,Mr Coates came out cold, weak, and tired. He had been in the lift for thirty-two hours! Now Mr Coates says, "I only use lifts if they have telephones in them."

Water is very important and necessary for all living things. It’s an indispensable part of our daily lives. People use water for various purposes, such as drinking, cooking and washing clothes.
Regrettably, some factories release chemical waste into rivers, lake and oceans, which leads to severe water pollution. But we can take measures to save water. For example, we can save water by fixing dripping taps. Water is nature’s gift and protecting water is our common duty. It’s everyone’s responsibility to maintain the quality of water resources and ensure the sustainable use of water.
