Many
major

Will
it
matter
if
you
don’t
take
your
breakfast
?
Recently
a
test
was
given
in
the
United
States.
Those
tested
included
people
of
different
ages,
from
12
to
83.During
the
experiment,
these
people
were
given
all
kinds
of
breakfasts,
and
sometimes
they
got
no
breakfast
at
all.Special
tests
were
set
up
to
see
how
well
their
bodies
worked
when
they
had
eaten
a
certain
kind
of
breakfast.The
results
showed
that
if
a
person
eats
a
proper
breakfast,
he
or
she
will
work
with
better
effect
than
if
he
or
she
has
no
breakfast.This
fact
appears
to
be
especially
true
if
a
person
works
with
his
brains.If
a
student
eats
fruit,
eggs,
bread
and
milk
before
going
to
school,
he
will
learn
more
quickly
and
listen
with
more
attention
in
class.
Contrary
to
what
many
people
believe,
if
you
don’t
eat
breakfast,
you
will
not
lose
weight.
This
is
because
people
become
so
hungry
at
noon
that
they
eat
too
much
for
lunch,
and
end
up
gaining
some
weight
instead
of
losing.You
will
probably
lose
more
weight
if
you
reduce
your
other
meals.
24.
During
the
test,
those
who
were
tested
were
given
____.

breakfast
at
all??
???????????????????
B.
very
rich
breakfast
??
?
C.
little
food
for
breakfast??

different
foods
or
none

The
results
of
the
test
showed
that
____.
?????
A.
breakfast
has
a
great
effect
on
work
and
study
??
?
B.
breakfast
has
little
to
do
with
a
person’s
work
??
?
C.
a
person
will
work
better
if
he
has
a
simple
breakfast
D.
those
working
with
brains
should
have
much
for
breakfast
26.
The
passage
mentions
that
many
people
believe
that
if
you
don’t
eat
breakfast,
you
will
____.
??
?
A.
lose
weight????????B.
not
lose
or
gain
weight
??
?
C.
be
healthier??????
D.
gain
a
lot
of
weight
27.
According
to
the
passage,
if
a
student
does
not
eat
breakfast,
_____
.
A.
he
will
fall
ill
B.
he
will
fail
to
listen
to
his
teacher
C.
he
will
not
make
progress
in
his
study
D.
his
mind
will
work
more
slowly
C
I
never
meant
to
be
a
teacher,
I
watched
my
mother
over
the
years,
and
I
knew
it
wasn't
for
me.
Going
back
to
school
to
learn
French
and
then
teach
the
language,
our
mother
changed
the
center
of
her
world
when
we
were
pre-teens.(未成年人)
I
saw
how
hard
our
mother
worked,
the
long
hours
she
kept
as
she
graded
papers
when
we
went
to
bed.
I
knew
how
worried
she
could
be
over
her
students
when
they
were
troubled
and
how
much
of
their
stress
she
took
on
herself.
What
I
didn't
realize
was
that
this
life
she’d
chosen
offered
her
deep
rewards.
As
I
grew
up,
I
fell
in
love
with
a
French-
speaking
Swiss
man
who
asked
me
to
marry
him
and
move
to
Switzerland.
Years
later,
when
I
found
myself
back
in
my
hometown
with
a
small
child
and
a
love
of
my
second
language,
a
chance
arose
for
me
to
join
my
mother’s
world
of
education,
and
I
accepted
it
I
landed
in
a
primary
school
in
Rocky
Mount,
North
Carolina.
From
the
first
week,
I
knew
I’d
stick
with
teaching.
This
is
the
most
challenging
experience
I’ve
ever
had,
and
absolutely
the
best.
I
teach
French,
and
I
have
never
felt
so
much
excitement
as
when
I
receive
smiles
from
children,
or
praise
from
other
teachers.
Most
of
my
students
have
not
travelled
outside
the
town
where
they
live,
and
for
some,
a
trip
to
the
city
museum
proves
the
most
adventurous
experience
in
their
lives.
I
work
late
into
each
night
creating
lessons
and
activities
for
the
following
day,
trying
to
come
up
with
ways
to
attract
my
students
and
connect
them
to
the
larger
world
.
I
also
plan
to
go
back
to
school
for
further
study
so
that
I
can
also
teach
science,
math,
social
studies,
reading
and
writing
.

Amazon
has
begun
using
Scout,
its
six-wheeled
autonomous
delivery
robot,
in
a
neighborhood
in
Irvine
,
California,
according
to
a
report.
As
the
company
had
been
testing
the
robot
in
Seattle,
it
said
it
was
accustomed
to
many
different
types
of
weather
conditions
and
expected
sunny
California
to
be
easier
on
the
vehicle.
"
Over
the
last
few
months
,
Amazon
Scout,
able
to
carry
small
or
medium-sized
packages
,
has
delivered
thousands
of
smiles
to
customers
in
Seattle
,
Washington
State.
All
the
while
,
the
battery-powered
vehicle
has
safely
and
autonomously
avoided
pedestrians,
animals,
and
unexpected
obstacles,
such
as
garbage
cans,"
the
company
said."
Scout
has
even
made
a
handful
of
furry
neighborhood
friends,
like
the
cat
Winter
and
the
excitable
Irish
terrier
Mickey."
Amazon
said
it
would
send
only
a
small
number
of
robots
to
neighborhoods,
and
they
will
make
deliveries
during
daylight
hours
from
Monday
to
Friday.

Scout
Ambassador",who
primarily
provides
the
company
with
data
from
the
robots
for
further
research

Amazon's
goal
is

not
to
be
a
novelty,
and
for
people
to
get
used
to
seeing
them
and
allow
them
to
do
their
work
smoothly.
“One
of
our
favorite
parts
of
this
journey
so
far
has
been
witnessing
how
excited
customers
are
when
they
see
the
delivery
device
for
the
first
time
and
how
they’ve
welcomed
Scout
into
their
neighborhood,”
Amazon
noted
in
the
announcement.
“In
the
first
week,
our
Ambassadors
witnessed
the
scenes
in
which
a
child
asked
her
dad
for
a
Scout
for
Christmas,and
another
customer
asked
if
he
could
fasten
his
two
pets
to
Scout
and
use
it
as
a
dog
walker
,”
the
company
said.

While
the
intention
of
our

adora-bots’
is
and
will
remain
delivery,
we
couldn’t
help
but
laugh
quietly
at
these
reactions.
“We.'
re
still
in
field
test
stage,and
our
expansion
to
the
Irvine
area
is
just
another
in
the
many
steps
forward
for
this
new
delivery
system,

Amazon
said.“
The
future
is
right
around
the
corner,
and
we
couldn't
be
more
excited.”

WeChat
has
become
so
common
these
days,
although
our
previous
generation
often
goes
in
a
state
of
shock
on
hearing
about
it.
While
we
generally
consider
fun
as
sending
funny
pictures
by
means
of
WeChat,
it
can
also
be
messaging
someone
in
an
informal
manner.
However,
in
order
to
use
funny
pictures
as
an
arm
to
make
your
relationship
run
healthy,
you
must
know
what
you
should
do
and
what
you
should
not.

Do's
37
You
got
to
be
really
careful
because
you
may
end
up
in
a
huge
soup
if
you
send
a
funny
picture
to
the
wrong
receiver.
Imagine
your
mom
receiving
it
instead
of
your
friends.
Nothing
worst

finds
them?
It
may
be

awkward

embarrassing.

It
is
always
wise
to
keep
a

So,
do
not

But

Back

W:
Hello,
welcome
to
this
week’s
“People
You
Meet”.
Today,
we
present
to
you
Mark
Leach,
an
information
officer
in
London.
M:
Hi,
everyone.
My
name’s
Mark
Leach.
I’m
an
information
officer
at
the
Britain
Business
Center,
which
is
a
tourist
office
for
the
British
Tourist
Board
in
London.
Here,
we
offer
a
tourist
information
service
to
mainly
visitors
from
overseas.
And
each
year,
we
have
about
500,000
people
come
to
the
office.
W:
Wow,
that’s
a
large
number
of
people.
How
do
you
manage
to
meet
the
needs
of
so
many
people?
M:
I’m
in
charge
of
an
information
team.
The
team
has
about
ten
officers
who
give
tourist
information
directly
over
the
counter
to
visitors.
We
speak
a
total
of
thirteen
languages
altogether.
W:
That’s
pretty
cool!
So,
what
exactly
do
you
do
every
day?
M:
Well,
we
act
as
a
one-stop
shop
for
anyone
who
wants
to
come
in.
So,
it
could
be
that
they
want
a
day-trip
from
London,
which
is
a
very
popular
request.
And
we
can
offer
suggestions
of
where
to
go
and
how
to
get
there.
If
people
want
a
two-week
tour
of
Britain,
we
can
plan
out
exactly
where
to
visit,
what
roads
to
take.
W:
So,
do
you
have
any
suggestions
for
people
coming
to
Britain?
M:
A
good
suggestion
is
to
see
as
much
as
you
can,
but
try
to
come
back
again
and
again
to
see
different
parts
of
the
country.
Because
in
that
way,
you’ll
really
experience
it.

M:
Right!
Next,
I’ll
tell
you
something
about
my
childhood.
Although
we
have
always
lived
in
the
same
city,
my
family
and
I
moved
a
lot
since
I
was
old
enough
to
remember.
We
don’t
have
our
own
house.
We
have
always
rented
them.
For
eight
years,
we
lived
downtown
in
a
large
10-story
building
with
no
less
than
30
apartments
in
it.
The
conditions
were
very
good.
But
on
the
other
hand,
we
had
a
lot
of
problems.
Imagine
how
difficult
and
colorless
life
was
for
a
nine-year-old
boy,
full
of
life,
having
no
place
to
play
freely.
No
sun,
no
open
air,
no
football
games.
School’s
from
7:30
to
noon
and
the
afternoon’s
spent
in
a
room
studying,
reading,
or
playing
indoor
games
with
a
friend
or
two.
No
outdoor
activities
because
the
streets
were
too
dangerous,
and
the
parents
much
too
afraid
to
let
a
young
boy
go
out.
How
I
wished
for
the
weekends
to
come.
I
could
then
burst
out
with
joy
and
happiness
when
we
went
out
for
a
visit
to
some
friends
or
relatives,
a
picnic,
or
even
a
car
ride.
I
think
that’s
one
of
the
reasons
why
I
became
such
a
strong
nature
lover.
Nancy,
aged
65,
is
one
of
my
special
friend.
I
like
chatting
with
her
but
she
