From August 12 to August 22, Shenzhen will host the 26th Universidade and athletes from 118 countries and areas will be taking part in this carnival gathering. The opening ceremony will take place in Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, while the closing ceremony will take place in the theme park “The Window to the World”. By June 30, 110 kilometers long metro line will have been newly opened, adding up to 178 kilometers in total. It is supposed to transport/accommodate 7,000,000 passengers per day, which makes it more convenient for people to go out. Shenzhen Universiade Center, where track and field, basketball, swimming will be held , is situated in Longgang District and covers an area of 52 square kilometers. To host this universiade will make the world know more about the Shenzhen.
