There was a man named Sandwich. He lived in a town in England many years ago. He liked gambling(赌博) very much. He played cards day and night. He was so busy playing them that he had no time to have meals.
So his servant had an idea. He put the vegetables, cheese and meat between two pieces of bread. Then he gave this food to Mr. Sandwich. To his surprise, Mr Sandwich liked it very much. It was very delicious.
From then on, people call this kind of food Sandwich.
