课型：
预习+展示课。体现先学后教、小组合作的小学英语教与学方式转变的核心理念。
教学过程：
1、 组织教学及复习
1. Warming up （热身）
教师活动：无
学生活动：小组展示歌谣chant with me ”phonics a-z”, sing with me “rain, rain, go away”
设计意图：热身。
2. Revision and lead in （复习及导入）
教师活动：利用歌曲主人公展开复习Who’s the boy in the song Can you say something about the boy
学生活动：头脑风暴，复习旧知识。
教师活动：出示歌曲主人公穿着雨衣的图片，问：What’s Little Johnny wearing now How is the weather Today, we are going to talk about weather.
学生活动：回答问题。
设计意图：利用一首歌谣展开复习，让学生观察并用所学过的知识谈论歌谣里的人物。继而过度到“雨衣”—“下雨”—“天气”，引题。
2、 新知识的呈现及归纳
1. Listen and repeat the words （听读单词）
教师活动：Let’s listen and repeat the words.
学生活动：跟着录音读单词。
设计意图：唤醒学生对在家对单词预习的记忆。
2. Read in groups （小组教读单词）
教师活动：指导学生小组合作教读单词。
学生活动：由听读小组长组织读单词。
设计意图：小组内检查预习成果，组内互相解决I can’t read的单词。
3. Toy game （小组展示单词）
教师活动：OK. It’s raining. Little Johnny can’t go out and play. So let’s play a toy game with him. 利用抽签的形式决定哪个小组上台展示单词。
学生活动：展示小组：操控音乐+拿着老师的单词卡问问题+贴板书；其余学生：参与活动并回答问题。
设计意图：检查上一环节小组教读的成果。活动类似于击鼓传花的游戏，具有一定的随机性。
4. Phonics （老师介绍发音规则、记忆单词等方法）
教师活动：利用上一环节贴好的单词卡进行板书，并引导学生进行I can read, I can spell, I can guess和I can tell的四项记忆单词的音、形、义的活动。
学生活动：思考并回答。
设计意图：老师把本单元的八个核心单词分成四类进行讲授：①直拼法记单词读音(I can read)：老师引导学生从旧单词not的发音，学会新单词hot的发音，再提供一个学生完全没接触过的单词pot，检测学生是否掌握了ot这个字母组合的发音规则；②故事教学法记忆单词的形：umbrella这个单词出现在学生每日唱读的歌谣中，所以学生对这个单词的读音和意义应该都已经掌握，但是这个单词的拼写较为难记，因此老师用了Ella的故事让学生在短时间内完成拼写记忆；③构词法记单词的形与义：rain和coat都是学生学过的单词，从这两个单词的结合引出新单词raincoat；④联想法记单词的义：从man和woman这两个词展开联想，看看生活中哪些人物是man，哪些是woman.
5. Poker game （巩固反义词练习）
教师活动：找一个学生示范此游戏的玩法。
学生活动：两两“打扑克”，进行反义词对对碰。
设计意图：通过两人玩打扑克的游戏巩固反义词。每个学生手中有5张扑克卡片。其中一个学生出cold, 另一个学生则要出示hot。先师生示范，再小组两人合作。
6. Look and say (sentences) （呈现句型）
1 听录音跟读句子；
2 小组合作，仿照A部分句型，完成后三幅图的看图说话；
3 请个别学生进行汇报。
教师活动：为小组讨论提供指导。
学生活动：听读小组长组织小组活动。
设计意图：A部分的句型给学生提供了一个可模仿的例子，剩下的三幅图可让学生根据句型展开发挥，只要合乎图片的实际情况就行，没有一个统一的答案。
3、 新知识的巩固及运用
1. Make friends with Little Johnny（与Little Johnny进行视频交际）
1 小组合作填写表格；
2 根据老师提供的范文和已填写好的表格，小组内进行口头汇报；
3 推选出说得最好的一个代表，上台进行模拟情景的展示。
教师活动：为小组合作写和说提供指导。
学生活动：小组合作写、小组合作说、推选出一个代表展示。
设计意图：创设情景，综合运用语言，鼓励学生从小学会利用新科技进行跨国交流。
4、 小结（若时间不够则布置为作业）
1. Extra-reading （拓展阅读）
老师活动：提供原版有声读物Weather。
学生活动：利用图片和声音的辅助，进行阅读和思考，遇到不认识的单词可以猜。
设计意图：拓展，让学生利用学到的英语看世界。同时与科学学科结合，让学生思考：What might happy when the weather is cloudy （当出现多云天气的时候，有可能发生什么？）
