Bollywood: the Hollywood of India
You might be surprised to learn that India produces about 800 movies a year, and that number continues to grow. Just as the movie Capital of the United States is Hollywood, the movie capital of India is Bombay (孟买), but it is usually called "Bollywood", a combination(结合) of the words Bombay and Hollywood.
No Bollywood movie is thought complete without a few songs and dances. In fact, music is an important part of Bollywood movies. Even a bad movie can still do well if the music is good. Music directors are sometimes more popular than the film stars. A Bollywood movie has five to six songs with at least three songs to show what the dances mean.
Bollywood may be different from Hollywood in music, but it is very like Hollywood in several ways. If Tom Cruise can hold a gun, so can the Bollywood hero Sharukh Khan. Hollywood stars are followed by news reporters just as often as Hollywood stars. The persona! lives of actors and actresses catch the headlines(头版头条), just as they do in the United States.
The Oscars are a very exciting time of the year for actors and actresses in America, Bollywood has its own form of the Oscars, and they are also very exciting.

This morning，we had a school trip to the Dashan Collection House，a building of two floors．It is open from 9：00am to 5：00pm．We took the school bus and arrived at 9：00．When we entered the collection house，our eyes were caught by a collection of old photos of the town on the walls of the front hall．Those photos told us something about the history of the town．And then in the Art Room，we saw many pictures of the countryside．The colors of the flowers and trees are rich and bright．All at once，I lost myself in the beauty of nature．
Then we went upstairs．On the left，there were over one hundred different clocks．The oldest clock was already more than two hundred years old．To my surprise，the clocks all worked well and they could tell the right time．It was then ten o'clock，and some clocks produced different beautiful sounds．It seemed to be a concert．How amazing!
On the right there was also a stone collection．The stones were from all over the country．They were in different sizes，colors and shapes．Some looked like different kinds of animals．I really liked one stone that looked like a little monkey．It looked very nice．
The collections there were wonderful．So they stayed there until 11：30in the morning．I had a great time and really liked the school trip．

The U.S. Master Golf Tournament(美国高尔夫大师赛) is one of the big four games in professional golf. This year, Guan Tianlang, a fourteen-year-old Chinese, has become a well-known as the youngest player in the 77-year history of the game. And he won the best-performing amateur(业余选手). He had a hard time in the game, but he said it was a wonderful experience for him.
At the age of 4, he started learning golf from his father. Many people think he is a smart golfer. Even Ben Crenshaw, a two-time Masters winner, praised Guan’s performance after playing with the boy. “He’s very confident(自信) and patient. He never played in a hurry, ” he said to the USA Today.
Guan makes the world know him not only with his game, but with his English as well. He answered the reporters’ questions with his perfect English. In fact, English is just one of favorite subjects. He also likes maths and history very much. At school, Guan is just like any other boy of his age. He goes to regular classes. He enjoys basketball and Kobe Bryrant is his favorite basketball player.
