I have been a Grade 9 student for nearly four months. My classmates have met all kinds of
problems. Some say they have too much homework every day and that they cannot finish it .
Some say they have no time to relax and do something they like. And some also say they cannot
get on well with their parents .
I have some suggestions for them. First, as Grade 9students, we should manage our time
wisely. Second, taking up a hobby like reading books is a good choice. It is also good for our
study. Third, we should try to understand our parents because they are the closest people to us in
the world. Last but not least, study comes firs . We should spend most of our time on our
schoolwork.

If someone asks me, “Do you like music ” I will answer him or her, “Of course, I do. ” Because I think music is an important part of our life.
Different people have different ideas about music. For me, I like rock music best because it’s so exciting. And my favorite rock band, the Doors, is one of the most famous rock bands in the world. I also like pop music. My classmate Li Yang loves dance music, because she enjoys dancing. My best friend, Kate, likes music that she can dance to.
“I like dance music and rock music very much,” says my brother, “because they are amazing. ”
But my mother thinks rock music is boring. “I like some relaxing music,” she says. That’s why she likes country music, I think.

Students in Canada have one week of the spring break every year. It usually happens in April. During this week, students can watch TV, do sports, or travel with their family. But this year I took part in an activity for two days.
On the first day, we helped some kids with their schoolwork. On the second day, we went to an old people’s home. We did a lot for the old people. And then they told us their own stories.
This spring break helped me learn how to give. And I got something back—happiness. I will spend my next spring break helping more people.
