Smith Takes to the Sea
84-year-old Anthony Smith from Britain is going to cross the Atlantic Ocean(大西洋) with three friends on a boat.
Smith walks with a cane (拐杖), but he does not think that he is too old for the trip. He says his boat is very safe. Smith and his friends plan to set off in January of next year. They are going to spend 60 days at sea. “At my age, most people are happy with a trip to the supermarket,” he said. “What I want to show is that you can do other things.”
Smith is an adventurer(冒险家). He flew over East Africa in a hot air balloon in 1962. He was also the first Englishman to go over the Alps(阿尔卑斯山) in a hot air balloon.

With Americans and their pets becoming fat, 2 Californian women came up with a solution(解决方法)--- a doggy boot camp where dog owners and their dogs work out(健身) together.
The boot camp is America’s first outdoor fitness program where both humans and dogs get a full body workout while the dogs also learn some skills.
Jill Bowers and Jamie Bowers, twin sisters, set up the boot camp two years ago. “People need to exercise. Dogs need training and exercise,” said Jill. “Little exercise and training causes dogs to have behavioral(行为的) problems. If they don’t have enough activity, they take it out(发泄) on your favorite couch or your shoes. With the boot camp, your dog is too tired to be bad.”
