专题17 读后续写03：脱困类故事（火灾、洪水、迷路等）（原卷版）
读后续写中会遇到火灾，水灾，森林迷路等内容的故事，如果涉及到对生命造成了一定的威胁的情节，我们就把这种类型的文章归为“脱险”型。在往年高考真题中，曾经就考过三次：拍摄北极熊遇险；父子骑马迷路；骑车游玩遇狼脱险。

故事构造
第一步：救人之前（恶劣环境+负面情绪）
1、恶劣环境
（1）一到晚夏，池塘就会被绿色的起泡浮渣覆盖。有时候，池塘里冒出一阵强烈的难闻的味道。In late summer, the pond would be covered by a green and bubbly scum（起泡的浮渣）. Sometimes a strong, unpleasant smell rose from it.
（2）在池塘中间，冰面忽然露出了一条裂缝。
In the middle of the pond, the ice gave way with a sudden crack.
（3）空气里弥漫着浓厚灼热的味道。A thick burning smell filled the air.
2、负面情绪：害怕
(1) Watching the shore in the distance, I felt powerless(无力的) as if we were broken tiny boats at the mercy of strong waves.
(2) Exhausted and cold, the thought that we might die here flashed across my mind，
which made me quiver with an uncontrollable terror/horror/fright(难以控制地发抖)

第二步：救人之中（努力+救人动作+如释重负）
1、.挣扎努力

2. 救人有关的惊险场面描写
(1) The next thing I knew I was hanging on to the edge of a hole in the ice by arms outstretched on the ice. From my shoulders down I hung in icy water.

第三步：救人之后（感激+升华）
1、感激

So, my dad and I put on our new cowboy hats, got on our horses, and headed slowly towards the mountains. “Don’t be late for supper,” Uncle Paul cried, “and keep to the track so that you don’t get lost!” “OK!” my dad cried back. After a while Uncle Paul and his farm house were out of sight. It was so peaceful and quiet and the colors of the brown rocks, the deep green pine trees, and the late afternoon sun mixed to create a magic scene. One fall, my wife Elli and I had a single goal: to photograph polar bears. We were staying at a research camp outside “the polar bear capital of the world” —the town of Churchill in Manitoba, Canada.
Taking pictures of polar bears is amazing but also dangerous. Polar bears—like all wild animals—should be photographed from a safe distance. When I’m face to face with a polar bear, I like it to be through a camera with a telephoto lens. But sometimes, that is easier said than done. This was one of those times.
As Elli and I cooked dinner, a young male polar bear who was playing in a nearby lake sniffed, and smelled our garlic bread.
The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp, which was surrounded by a high wire fence. He pulled and bit the wire. He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence posts.
Terrified, Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew. We yelled at the bear, hit pots hard, and fired blank shotgun shells into the air. Sometimes loud noises like these will scare bears off. Not this polar bear though—he just kept trying to tear down the fence with his massive paws.
I radioed the camp manager for help. He told me a helicopter was on its way, but it would be 30 minutes before it arrived. Making the best of this close encounter, I took some pictures or the bear.
Elli and I feared the fence wouldn’t last through 30 more minutes of the bear’s punishment. The camp manager suggested I use pepper spray. The spray burns the bears’ eyes, but doesn’t hurt them. So I approached our uninvited guest slowly and, through the fence, sprayed him in the face. With an angry roar(吼叫), the bear ran to the lake to wash his eyes.

Desperately intending to grab its tail, she shifted aim at the last minute and seized the cougar by the neck. She shook it from side to side. Instantly, the cougar wheeled toward Larrane. Growling and hissing, it stretched up high and brought its paws down upon the head of the woman. Although still in its youth, it had all the teeth and muscle a cougar needs to pull down a victim three times its size. This animal was capable of killing her.

Along the way, I saw some schoolchildren holding their heavy schoolbags tightly and rushing home, I also saw that some road repair work had been abandoned by workers. Obviously, the workers had left in a hurry because of the storm. There were few signs and it was hard to see what was on the road. With an outpouring of relief, I was also proud of myself, as I had never imagined I would be part of a rescue party and the act of neighborliness could really make such a difference. While the mother and the father were holding the child tightly, I spotted the man beaming at the child with softness gleaming in his eyes. I was absorbed in my wild thought, wondering whether he was also a tender father. All of a sudden, thunder crashed overhead, which brought me back to reality. I walked to the man and tugged his sleeve, whispering, “Thank you.” I would never forget the good feeling of helping someone in need.

Besides, we decided that Peeper was a boy. I don’t know why; it just felt right.
