教学设计(一)
第一、第二课时 Warming up and Listening and Speaking
一、教材分析
本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材,《英语3 基础模块》中Unit 7 Warming up and Listening and Speaking部分,听说部分要求学生能识别表示灾害的词汇,询问并回应因自然灾害导致航班延误的事件,并能就有关自然灾害的信息进行交流。
二、学情分析
本单元主题为自然灾害,在课堂导入环节,需要学生调动已知的关于自然灾害的词汇,对于学生来说,了解常见的自然灾害难度不大,但是缺乏基本的词汇储备,用英语表达自然灾害存在一定的难度;部分学生 了解常见的自然灾害相关词汇,但缺乏归纳总结,用英语谈论自然灾害的能力略显薄弱,需进一步强化与提高。
三、教学目标
After leaning this lesson,students can
通过本课的学习,学生能够
1.identify the vocabulary of natural disasters and make a brief introduction.识别关于自然灾害的词汇,并做简单介绍;
2.understand the reasons for flight cancellations and natural disasters.听懂航班取消的原因、自然灾害发生的原因;
3. predict the listening content and summarize the theme. Ask and respond to the topic of natural disasters and human travel, and put forward their own views.
根据问题和选项预测听力内容,在听的过程中概括主题,针对自然灾害和人类出行的话题进行询问和回应,并提出自己的观点;
4.ask customers about the reasons for flight delays as hotel receptionists, improve their professional quality, and cultivate their ability to perceive differences in thinking and cross-cultural understanding.
学生能够以酒店接待人的身份,询问顾客航班延误的原因,提升职业素养,培养思维差异感知能力和跨文化理解能力。
四、教学重点、难点分析
教学重点:能识别表示灾害的词汇,询问并回应因自然灾害导致航班延误的事件,并能就有关自然灾害的信息进行交流。
教学难点:在交际中谈论与自然灾害的原因、对人类生活和工作所带来的影响。
五、教学过程
Step 1 Warming Up
*1. 铺垫活动: Brainstorm.
(1)话题激活:教师展示一则新闻报道:On January 14, 2022, Tang Jiayi's submarine volcano began to erupt. One day later, the volcano erupted violently again .A column of ash about 5 kilometers in diameter and 20 kilometers high hangs over the volcano. Volcano scientists called it the world's most violent volcanic event in nearly 30 years.
2022年1月14日汤加一海底火山开始喷发,一天后,这座火山再次剧烈喷发。直径约5千米,高20千米的火山灰柱笼罩在火山上空。火山科学家们称这次喷发是近30年来全球最剧烈的火山活动。

On January 15, 2022, an undersea volcano in Tonga erupted violently, and it may cause earthquakes floods and tidal waves.

Step 2 Listening
1. Listen and choose.
处理教材活动3。学生在听前读选项,预测对话的主题。然后听录音,结合选项做出选择,并对听力材料从整体上进行把握和判断。听后教师检查并反馈。教师应提醒学生在听的过程中要集中精力,提取信息,提升听的质量。必要时,教师可为学生简单讲解生词。
prevent:to stop something from happening, or stop someone from doing something
business trip:a journey in which you go somewhere because of your business

2. Listen and decide.
处理教材活动4。学生首先阅读选项,进行初步判断。然后听录音,抓关键词,判断正误并更正错误信息。听后教师检查并反馈。
1) Sara didn’t go to Shanghai because her flight was delayed due to the typhoon.
2) Other public transportations like trains and ships have been canceled or delayed as well.
3) Sara holds that some of the natural disasters are caused by human activities.
4) It will be impossible for us to protect our earth and make it a safe place to live in.
3. Listen and complete.
处理教材活动5,可分两步:
(1)教师补充问题,引导学生带着问题听录音、做笔记。

*(2)拓展活动:内容概括一共分为5句,每句都有相应的逻辑关系---引出话题、列举现象、灾难成因、决定改变、保护地球。教师可按小组进行接龙游戏,以时间完成最短的小组为获胜者。
(设计意图:本环节旨在训练学生根据已有的问题和选项预测听力内容,在听的过程中概括主题,获取和归纳关键信息,培养学生语言交互能力,提升表达的逻辑思维。)
Step 3 Speaking
1. Listen, read and underline.
教师介绍对话背景,学生听录音、跟读,并用下画线标出谈论个人观点和态度的语句;播放情景对话,学生跟读、模仿,随后请两位学生进行对话展示。
*(2)拓展活动:教师简要讲解以下重点词组与句型。在此基础上,学生重点操练句型:
delay、 due to、cause damage to、It is lucky that... 、It is possible (for sb) to do something

② 根据所给情景,谈论航班取消、火车延误的原因,讨论自然灾害对人类出行造成的影响。

1. 分享一张你所知道的自然灾害的图片,用英语介绍该灾害带来的影响。
参考句型:

Floods may destroy homes.
