一、说教材
（一）本课在教材的地位和作用
大本部分主要围绕动物而展开，通过学生对动物的名称及特点的学习和操练，让学生能运用 “why—because”句型，并迁移到对他人的爱好及解释原因的询问和回答上来。通过学习，让学生从从潜意识意识到动物的重要性，能自觉的爱护、保护动物，激发学生对大自然的保护意识，有利于帮助学生树立环保意识，增强环保观念.由于本课是本单元的开端，对后面的学习具有奠基作用。因此，学好本部分内容对后一阶段的学习具有较积极的意义。
（二）教学目标
根据本教材的结构和内容分析，结合七年级学生的认知结构及其心理特征，我制定了以下的教学目标：
1.知识目标：
（1）掌握表示动物的名词：
tiger, elephant, panda, lion, koala, giraffe描述动物特征的形容词：cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary
（2）学生能掌握why 引导的特殊疑问句的问与答。
2.能力目标：学生能用所学的单词和句子描述动物和表达喜好。
3、情感态度价值观目标：
通过对动物的描述，培养学生热爱自然，保护动物的意识。
确立教学重难点的理论依据是：根据义务教育英语课程标准中关于教师应根据学生的实际情况，确立有利于逐步提高学生的基本语言素养和基本外语学习能力的教学目标这一要求，并结合七年级学生心理特点、认知发展水平、情感需要而制定。
（三）教学重、难点
本节课，我确定了以下的教学重点和难点。
重点：表示动物的名词和描述动物特征的形容词。
难点：学会用why提问原因，用because表达。
确立重难点的理论依据是：义务教育初中英语教学大纲
二、说学情
我班37名学生，有少部分同学基础还算可以，大部分同学基础知识薄弱，由于本节课话题为动物，所以大部分学生还是能够听懂，在课堂上较为活跃。
课堂活动：学生能积极参与课堂活动
学习方法：少部分学生能独立学习，大部分学生在课堂上能和同学合作学习
学习态度：大部分学生学习态度端正，学习热情高；
但也有少部分学生在课堂上不敢大声开口。
三、教法学法指导
1、说教学手段：本节可我将选择图片，幻灯片课件，课文mp3录音，及英语视频等现代教学手段辅助教学。
2、说教法
（1）情境创设法。
（2）任务型教学法。
（3）分组讨论法。
（4）同伴合作法。
2、说学法
（1）提前预习法。学生提前学习并记忆本课单词和短语，并了解本课句型，这样就解决了学生在课堂上识记单词困难的问题。
（2）小组合作的学习方法。通过小组合作的方法，让学生互相帮助、分工协作，共同完成任务。培养了学生互相尊重、互帮互助的合作精神。在小组合作的过程中，也伴随着组与组之间的竞争，提高了学生的学习兴趣和竞争意识。
（3）游戏学习法。通过guessing “what animal is this ”这样的小游戏，来巩固本课所学知识。
确立教法学法指导的理论依据是：“卓越课堂”的五大要素即学生学得快乐、目标设置精准、学生为主体的自主学习、用英语做事、关注人文素养。
四、教学过程
