From my father I have learned a lot.And I'm very thankful to him.I remember when I
was a 61.my father always got up very early.He was afraid to wake up others,so he
quietly put on his clothes and went off to work.To arrive in time to open his tiny store at
8:30.he needed to leave 62 home at 6:30.After all,he had to take a bus and then the
subway.The last journey was a long walk through a neighborhood much of which was
-63with the smell of rubbish.I learned:it is very important to work.No excuse.
When I was 12.I would go to my father's store to 64 on weekends.After helping
lay out the outside clothing,for the rest of the day,I had to watch to make sure no one
65anything.When I noticed someone who looked unusual or strange,I would look the

Three days ago,I joined a club called "Passing Help".This group was set up to help
somebody out and pass help along.Why did I jun it Let me tell you the reason.
Last Wednesday,my father suddenly fell onto the ground in front of a museum because
of a heart problem.There was a bus station opposite the museum.At that time,bus No.16
was just waiting at the statio.The bus driver.Zhang Ping saw my father and told the
passengers that he must take my father to the hospital.He expected most or all of the
passengers to get off and wait for the next bus.But to his surprise,they all agreed to go with
him.Some passengers helped Mr.Zhang to move my father onto the bus.It was 8:50 a.m.,
the road was busy.Luckily,Mr.Chang drove fast and safely.At a quarter past nine,they
arrived at the hospital.Thanks to Mr.Zhang and the passengers,my father was saved by
the doctors in time.
When I saw Mr.Zhang,I wanted to give him some money to thank him,but he didn't
accept it."I only want to do something valuable for somebody.Pass help along."he said.

Lucy Hughes recently graduated from Sussex University in England.She knows how
wasteful many products are.Plastic bags,for example,are often used once for a short time,
and then thrown away.She made up her mind to challenge herself to create something out
of waste instead.She spent some time studying the fishing business,and the things that
were thrown away.After some tests,Lucy found that the fish skin()and scales (
seemed like the most probable parts for her product.She tried over 100 different tests
before finding something to mix the materials together.She called it "Marina Tex".This
product is clear and feels like plastic,but it's stronger than plastic that is the same thickness.
Marina Tex is also cheap to make since it's made from fish waste.Most importantly,
Marina Tex breaks down (in less than six weeks because it is made of natural
materials.
As a creative designer,Lucy is looking forward to moving ahead with her idea.She
wants to try to make her product even better.
