W: Great!Text 10M: Hello, I’m Jeff Anderson from Coventry, England. And in today’s program, I’d like to share with you a special kind of English culture — the football. A lot of people in England are crazy about football. During the football season whenever there is a big match, all the flags for local football teams, such as Liverpool and Newcastle, are hung outside every window, or even spread proudly on T-shirts or scarves. There is an atmosphere of excitement in the air. Groups of young men crowd into dark, packed pubs staring at television screens. Of course they are covered head to toe in the colors of their team. They shout and scream in sadness when their team loses a goal, or with joy when there is a moment of success. You do not have to be a fan of football to get caught up in the excitement. As far as victories are concerned, England had its big moment in 1966 in Wembley Stadium. The World Cup victory is in the hearts and minds of all football fans. Now, whenever England is playing a big match, red and white covers every inch of every pub, a symbol of hope — the English flag. While football has never been something I am particularly interested in, for years, I’ve had to pretend excitement and pick a team to support. You cannot say you don’t like or do not follow football in England, as often this would lead to a long dialogue in which someone would begin telling you why you should support their team.12020年高考试题英语听力(浙江卷)第一节听下面5段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出最佳选项。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话仅读一遍。1. My brother is getting married and I must beat the wedding practice at five o’clock.W: I’m sorry, sir, but…M: I know, I know. It’s the holiday season. Tell me what’s available on the twenty third… W: So, how are things going, Steve M: Well, I was feeling great on Saturday, but I started to feel sick on Sunday afternoon. Before we get started, I’d like to thank everyone for coming down to the lake today to help with the cleaning-up project. As you probably know, we're going to be cleaning up all ofthe garbage here at the lake area. We’ll begin by dividing into two ten-person teams---one team will pick up litter in the picnic area and along the jogging path, and one will collect garbage found along the bank of the lake. We’ll be putting the litter in these plastic trash bags. Throw any bottles and cans you find into these boxes, and we’ll take them to the recycling center later. A local company has donated these “Do Not Litter” signs to the club. So we’ll need a couple of people to place them around the lake when we are finished. OK, everyone who wants to clean up around picnic tables and along the jogging path, raise your hands.试卷 B(Text 1)W: What did you get for lunch M: Well, I wanted a hamburger, but there weren’t any left, so I had a hotdog.(Text 2)M: What are you listening to Music W: A Chinese lesson, actually. I can’t sleep once it’s light outside. M: You’re like a natural animal.W: Exactly. Actually I never use an alarm clock. Do you have to have an alarm clock when youget up M: Sometimes, but I almost never need it. My dog will wake me up.W: That’s what I was wondering.M: She has a natural cycle, so at six in the morning, you start to hear her trying to get attention. W: That’s so cool. So do you walk your dog in the morning M: Yeah, she needs a walk. So I’ve got this two-mile route. Almost the exact same route everymorning. It takes about 30 minutes.W: Cool.(Text 7)M: Excuse me. I’m working on a project on the recent modernization of this railway station.Would you answer some questions please W: Certainly.M: Right. I’m going to be in charge of the club and we’re going to have our first meeting next Thursday after school, right here in my classroom. I hope to see lots of you here. In fact, the number of student votes we received to start a film club is the most ever here in our school. So if you’re not here on time, you might not get a seat! Well, the purpose of the club is to watch and discuss movies. We’ll be watching older movies regularly, but occasionally we’ll organize an outing to see something in the theater. This club is going to be fun, but also very educational. We’re not just going to watch films. We’re going to discuss them and analyze them. That means talking about the characters, the story lines…, like what I do with my students in the literature class. I’m pretty sure it’ll help your grades too. So, I hope to see you all then. 1. How about you, Sarah W: Well, I love seeing musical plays on Broadway with my friends. Have you been to many M: Not really. Clifford the Big Red Dog, first appeared 50 years ago along with Emily Elizabeth, a little girl who loves him. Today we have Norman Bridwell to talk with NBR’s Reporter on his dog’s 50th birthday. So, Norman, tell us how it all started.M: Well, it was 1962, and I was a struggling, not very successful artist in New York. My wife suggested that I try my hand in painting for children’s books. So I did ten paintings and took them to publishers. I was turned down everywhere except one publisher where a young woman told me I wasn’t very good. And it sold 126 million copies in thirteen languages.Text 10M: Hello, everyone. Today I’m going to talk about small talk. That is short conversations people often have with strangers they meet. Such strangers occur at bus stops, on buses, while waiting in line almost anywhere that strangers gather close together. As a matter of fact, these short conversations are a good way for people to say hello and express friendliness. Such conversations usually cover a wild range of topics. The topics may include weather, customer service, movies, TV shows, local sports or the latest news. But you should always keep it in your mind that private questions about salaries, family life, religious belief and politics should be avoided during these conversations. Sounds it’s better to ask open-ended questions. If you ask visitors, “Do you like our city ” They may say simply “Yes!” On the other hand, if you ask, “What do you think of our city ”, they would have more freedom in answering. This kind of question also shows that you’re interested in them. If you appear interested in what people are saying, they feel more comfortable talking with you.12020年高考试题英语听力(浙江卷1月)第一节听下面5段对话。每段对话后有一个小题,从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出最佳选项,并标在试卷的相应位置。听完每段对话后,你都有10秒钟的时间来回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话仅读一遍。1. Russell is a man who thinks deeply and sleeps deeply, and he wants us to stop seeing sleep as an inconvenience, something to be gotten through; a man who wants us to take sleep as the most important behavioral experience that we have. Russell has been doing this research for decades at the University of Virginia, Chicago, and now at Oxford. But his work also takes him beyond the lab.
