Can you believe there was an abundant parking lot in the spot a few years ago Many people said it was only good for collecting garbage, but the people in our community thought that the space could be used to make a garden. Now our community garden has fifty small pieces of land. Each piece is used by a different person of family, even some of the local stores have a piece. Every Saturday morning, people come to work in the garden. Some grow fruits and vegetables, others grow flowers. One person even made a gold fish pond. The garden is a busy place especially on sunny days. Sometimes special events take place in the garden, such as music concerts and gardening classes. At other times, schools bring students to the garden to learn about plants and insects. The garden offers much more to our community than just a place to dig in the dirt. Now you can walk around and enjoy yourselves.
