Here’s the morning news now. A little Asian elephant became a big topic in China. Her name
is Molly. OnMarch 20, 2016, Molly was born at the Kunming Zoo in Yunnan. Everyone liked her.
When she turned one year old, the zoo held a big birthday party. The baby elephant got her name
and a big cake. But in 2018, the zoo took Molly away from her mom. They sent Molly to Swan
Lake Ecology Park in Qinyang, Henan in exchange for another elephant. Life there was very hard
for Molly. She had to learn a lot of things to make humans happy.
Seeing that, people took action to save her. They posted pictures and articles of Molly online.
They asked to send her back home. And they also asked to stop elephant performances in China.
With their help, Molly finally went back home on May 16. There, her family waited for her. Later,
the doctors will give her a check-up. The little princess will be loved again.
