学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: This unit is a continuous part of Unit 8 and Unit 9. they are all about present perfect tense, but differently, Unit 8 focuses on the basis rules of present perfect tense, Unit 9 mainly focuses on the three verbal phrases “have gone to, have been to, and have been in”, while Unit 10- focuses on the usage of “for and since”, Student Analysis: With the knowledge learned from Unit 8 and Unit 9, the students will find it easy to learn Unit 10. moreover, it talks about things or places with old memories which the students are super familiar with. But they may meet problems about the language points.
核心素养目标 Linguistic skill(s): Be able to use the expressions and present perfect tense to talk about old things one has had and how to reuse them. Language knowledge: Words and phrases of old things; Sentences for describing old things. Emotion and attitude: Be willing to give away one’s old things and use them to help others. Learning strategy: Be able to put what one has learned into daily practice. Culture awareness: To realize old things can be used again and help other people in need.
重点 Key words: yard, sweet, memory, cent, toy, bear, maker, scarf, soft, check, board. Key phrases: yard sale, bread maker, soft toy, check out, board game. Key sentences: -How long have you had this bike -I’ve had it for three years. Amy wants to keep her old things because they bring back sweet memories. Ⅰ.Warm-up Vocabulary learning 【5min】 Show the pictures of old things with sweet memories in 1a-2d. and ask the students to guess the meaning s of them. Look at the pictures and compete to say out the names of the old things.
Ⅱ. Presentation Lead-in 【3min】 Pair-work 【10min】 Present the students two questions: Are these objects old or new what can we do to make better use of them Setting: Now we are collecting old things for the country kids. Ask the students to make conversations according to the mode and the old things one has. Think about the questions and volunteer to answer them: Old. By giving them away to the kids in poor areas. Make conversations with one’s classmates.
