Some gods and goddesses in Greek Myth (希腊神话)

Once, three fish lived in a pond. One evening, some fishermen passed by the pond and saw the fish. “This pond is full of fish,” they told each other excitedly. “We have never fished here before. We must come back tomorrow morning with our nets and catch these fish!” So saying, the fishermen left.

The eldest of the three fish left the pond that evening with his entire family. The second fish saw the fishermen coming in the distance early next morning and left the pond at once with all his family. The third fish refused to leave even then.
The fishermen arrived and caught all the fish left in the pond, including the third fish’s luck.

The first Chinese actor captured (征服) the hearts of many Chinese in the USA．He read a letter by Zhuge Liang(181~ 234) to the emperor of Shuhan during the Three Kingdoms(220~280) period in the new season of Growling Tiger and Roaring Dragon(《虎啸龙吟》)
The letter has been read by so many students. We would never have thought that the text written in old Chinese could be so beautifully read in another language. As a result, foreigners began to show interest in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, translated by C.H. Brewitt-Tailor and Robert E. Hegel.
Earlier in November 1979, pupils in England were able to watch a new TV program called Monkey. Most of them were hearing the story for the first time. However, the story of the Monkey King isn’t new to Chinese Children in the traditional Chinese book Journey to the West.
As soon as the TV programme came out more than 30 years ago, western children became interested in reading this story because the clever Monkey King keeps fighting to help the weak and never gives up.
Chinese scholars(学者) should do a better job of introducing Chinese literature(文学) to the rest of the world. At the same time, we could encourage western schools to try something different.
Reading international literature is an effective way of understanding other people in the world. And the more we understand each other, the more beautiful the world will be.

A Great Museum

The loveliest house that I’d ever lived in was the one that I lived in with my grandparents when I was a child. And the name of the house was Crosslands.
It seemed so huge to me as a child. It had a lovely living room with a piano in it. And there was a strange room. It was the drawing room. We only used it on Sundays, or when visitors came for tea, or Christmas Day or Easter Day. I used to be amazed about this room because it had the best furniture in it but it was covered with sheets--it was as if all the furniture was wearing clothes--and it seemed to me crazy that we couldn’t enjoy this beautiful furniture all the week through really.
Now, I went back to it a few years ago and it was a big mistake. They’ve modernized(现代化) it inside, and they’ve taken away that lovely furniture. And they’ve knocked a wall down so the drawing room and the living room have become one big room.
But I think what troubled me most about it was the feeling that the house seemed to be smaller and that my memory of this lovely large warm comfortable house had turned into an old house with modernized rooms inside it. And it taught me a lesson really, that you can’t go back to the past and catch it. But there’s a beautiful memory there.
