It was our turn to open our presents this particular Christmas morning. The living room was already covered with tom wrapping paper. Obviously, the children could hardly wait to discover the hidden treasures, which they had expected for nearly a month. Now we adults sat around the room with our presents at our feet, slowly removing the paper, trying to maintain our dignity in front of the children.
My wife Brenda and her family have a tradition of getting each other gag(恶作剧) gifts. This always makes me a bit uneasy at Christmas or my birthday, never knowing what embarrassment lies waiting for me under the wrapping paper.
Recently, my six-year-old daughter Christy seemed to busy herself with something while I was playing computer video flight games. Now she was standing directly in front of me. The excitement of the moment just shone across her face. Finally, I came to the last gift and with my natural Sherlock Holmes ability, I concluded that this had to be the gag gift. With everyone looking on, I decided to go ahead and get it over with—just let them have their laugh—and I tore the paper and there it was... a toy airplane about two inches long. Our holiday guests started giggling(咯咯笑) to themselves as I looked up to my wife with an unpleasant smile on my face, saying, "A toy airplane Are you kidding me "
Brenda gave me the look—that look that always tells me I have just said something wrong and should have given it a second thought. I had failed to look at the name tag(标签) before I opened the present to see who it was from. As I picked up the paper from the floor and read the name tag, my heart sank. On the tag were the letters that read, "To dad, Love Christy."

C. A Hidden Treasure: Love from Dear Daughter D. A Name Tag: Christmas Present
C
You are given many opportunities in life to choose to be a victim or a creator. When you choose to be a victim, the world is a cold and difficult place. "They" did things to you which caused all of your pain and suffering. "They" are wrong and bad, and life is terrible as long as "they" are around. Or you may blame yourself for all your problems, thus internalizing (内化) your victimization. The truth is, your life is likely to stay that way as long as you feel a need to blame yourself or others.
Those who choose to be creators look at life quite differently. They know there are individuals who might like to control their lives, but they don't let this get in the way. They know they have their weaknesses, yet they don't blame themselves when they fail. Whatever happens, they have choice in the matter. They believe their dance with each sacred (神圣的) moment of life is a gift and that storms are a natural part of life which can bring the rain needed for emotional and spiritual growth.
Victims and creators live in the same physical world and deal with many of the same physical realities, yet their experience of life is worlds apart. Victims relish (沉溺) in anger, guilt, and other emotions that cause others -and even themselves -to feel like victims, too. Creators consciously choose love, inspiration, and other qualities which inspire not only themselves, but all around them. Both victims and creators always have choice to determine the direction of their lives.
In reality, all of us play the victim or the creator at various points in our lives. One person, on losing a job or a special relationship, may feel as if it is the end of the world and sink into terrible suffering for months, years, or even a lifetime. Another with the same experience may choose to first experience the grief, then accept the loss and soon move on to be a powerful creative force in his/her life.
In every moment and every circumstance, you can choose to have a fuller, richer life by setting a clear intention to transform the victim within, and by inviting into your life the powerful creator that you are.
61. What does the word "they" in Paragraph 1 probably refer to
A. People and things around you. B. Opportunities and problems.
C. Creators and their choices. D. Victims and their sufferings.
62. According to Paragraph 2, creators ______.
A. handle ups and downs of life wisely B. possess the ability to predict future life
C. have the potential to create something new D. seem willing to experience failures in life
63. The examples mentioned in Paragraph 4 show that ______.
A. strong attachment to sufferings in life pulls people into victims
B. people need family support to deal with challenges in life
C. it takes creators quite a long time to get rid of their pains
D. one's experiences determine his/her attitude toward life
64. The passage is organized by ______.
A. giving definitions B. making a contrast C. giving examples D. telling stories
65. What is the author's purpose in writing this passage
A. To define victims and creators.
B. To evaluate victims against creators.
C. To explain the relationship between victims and creators.
D. To suggest the transformation from victims to creators.

Curiosity is rooted in our DNA. We are fascinated by the future; we are impressed with the unknown that surrounds us; we are amazed at all that we have to explore. The mysteries of the world have always been a push for us to watch. 66
Children are known for sticking their fingers in places where young fingers should never be. They are famous for putting all kinds of objects and substances in their mouths, everything from plastic blocks to any object in the room.
67 It holds our hand as we move into old age and the unknown of the future. By and large, we are determined question-askers. We want to know more than we know; we want to expand our horizons, try out the new and undiscovered, and pursue experiences that deepen our comprehension of the world we live in.
68 It is also the generation of possibilities. When we look at the world from multiple perspectives, we give ourselves permission to examine a wider range of resolutions. We open up our minds to explore the unexamined and unknown. 69 Ian Leslie explains it this way, "Curiosity is essential to an exploring mind; it opens our eyes to the new and undiscovered, encouraging us to seek out new experiences and meet new people."
Curiosity is the catalyst(催化剂) for questioning, and questioning is what urges us to seek out the unfamiliar and the unknown. 70 It does not move forward, nor does it have sufficient Power to dig what may lie just below the surface or just slightly out of reach. Curiosity is the fuel necessary for creativity to prosper and succeed.
A. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.
B. Without questioning, knowledge becomes inactive.
C. Nowhere is this truer than when we watch our children.
D. But curiosity is much more than a simple search for answers.
E. Curiosity becomes a boost for new opportunities and new options.
F. So ask questions to which there may be a wide variety of responses.
G. In adults, curiosity guides us toward a lifetime occupation and to new destinations.

One possible version:
With science and technology used in every aspect of life at that time, our life in the future will be quite different from what it is now.
At that time we’ll live in a greener and more beautiful world with trees, birds, blue skies and sunshine. And we’ll be able to arrange things like meals, bathing and sleep with our smart phones. Robots will be able to do most of the housework for us. As for work, we’ll mostly work at home, communicating ideas for work online. If necessary, we’ll have video meetings with our partners around the world. During our free time, we’ll be able to travel to places of interest in new vehicles like flying cars. We’ll even enjoy space trips to the moon and other planets.
All in all, our life will become more comfortable and convenient.
