Step 1 Warming up
Let the students play a game:
Show some words to students，and select some of them to read the words and speak out the meanings. Each player may have at most three chances to ask others for help.
Step 2 Leading-in
Show some pictures to the students and ask them the following questions:
1. What do you like to do after school or on weekends/holidays
2. Do you like to watch movies What is your favourite movie
Step 3 Reading
1. Pre-reading: Listen and tick.
(1) Ask the students to read the passage by themselves.
(2) Ask them to listen and tick the correct answers. (Let’s Do It! No. 1)

on one team 在一个队
on 在此处为介词，表示“是……的成员”。

2. Last Saturday, my mother bought a pair of jeans for me.
上周六，我妈妈给我买了一条牛仔裤。
(1) buy sth. for sb.= buy sb. sth.为某人买某物
My father bought a book for me.
=My father bought me a book.爸爸给我买了一本书。
(2)a pair of 一双/对/副……
a pair of jeans 一条牛仔裤 其中jeans必须用复数形式。
类似用法：

pleasant用来修饰事物
(2) have the pleasure of doing sth. =have fun doing sth. 很高兴做某事
We had the pleasure of swimming in the sea. =We had fun swimming in the sea.
在海里游泳我们感到很开心。
4. She invited me to go to the movies with her next Sunday.
她邀请我下周日和她一起去看电影。
invite 【动词】邀请
invite sb. to do sth. 邀请某人做某事
invite sb. to +地点/活动 邀请某人去……
invite sb. for dinner 邀请某人吃饭（共进晚餐）
She invited me to go shopping with her. 她邀请我和她一起去购物。
Who invited you to the evening party 谁邀请你来参加晚会的？
I’ll invite my friends for dinner tonight.我将请我的朋友们来吃晚餐。
Step 6 Homework
Write a letter to a friend. Tell him or her something about your first two weeks of school. You can talk about your subjects, teachers, classmates or classrooms. Maybe you can tell a funny story!
