本单元谈论和学习的话题是天气及其衣着。在四年级下册Unit 3 Is It Snowing 中所学的天气词汇及句型的基础上，结合已经学习的衣物类词汇，进一步学习表述天气的形容词，使学生能在相应的语境中灵活运用所学词汇谈论天气，并能就在不同的天气里应该注意哪些情况提出合理建议。该话题贴近学生的日常生活，所以学生会比较容易接受和理解。今天授课的内容是第二课时，以Part A中Let’s talk部分的对话为主。在复习词汇sunny, windy, cloudy, snowy, rainy的基础上重点学习如何谈论天气。

Step1 Warming up &Revision
1. Sing a song & Revision (How’s the weather )
2. Greetings.
(设计意图：轻松愉快的打招呼拉近了师生距离，有效缓解了学生的紧张情绪。一曲节奏欢快，关于天气的英文歌曲迅速将孩子们带入英语学习氛围，边唱边出示单词卡片有效复习了第一课时词汇，为新知呈现奠定了基础。)
Step2 Leading in
Introduce a new friend Mr. Snail to the students.
Mr. Snail: Hello, everyone! I’m Mr. Snail. I have a nice and warm house. I like to stay in it very much. If you want me to come out, I will ask, what’s the weather like today Only the right answer can make me out.
(设计意图：通过设计卡通人物蜗牛先生喜欢呆在壳里，只有给出合理天气它才愿意出来这样一个情境，巧妙引出本节课重点句型What’s the weather like today )
Step3 Presentation
1. Create situation.
Use the PPT to show the students the conversation between Mr. Snail and his friends. And then let the students to practice the dialogue:
A: Hi, Mr. Snail! Come out. Let’s play together.
B: What’s the weather like today
A: It’s sunny/ windy/ cloudy/ snowy/ rainy.
B: Oh, I’m sorry. I want to sleep.
(Oh, it’s raining. I like raining. Let’s go out to play.)
(设计意图：通过蜗牛先生与小鸟，乌龟，蚂蚁，企鹅以及蚯蚓之间的对话，利用师生问答、小组问答、男女问答、角色扮演等形式呈现并操练句型- What’s the weather like today – It’s sunny/ windy/ cloudy/ snowy/ rainy. 在创设的情境下反复操练句型，不仅避免了无意义的机械练习，还大大激发了学生们的学习兴趣。)
2. Listen and answer.
Mr. Snail introduces his friend Wu Chen to the students. Tell them Wu Chen is going to school. Let them listen to the radio and answer the questions:
Is it cloudy today
What’s the weather like today
(设计意图：回归课本，将Let’s talk部分制作成听力材料。通过贯穿课堂的灵魂人物蜗牛先生引出，亲切自然。并且学生结合问题有目地听，抓住文本关键信息的同时，培养学生听的能力，进而提高学生的综合语言运用能力。)
3. Listen and follow.
Ss listen and follow to say the sentences by looking at their books. Then answer the questions:
What’s the weather like now
What does Wu Chen’s mother ask her to take with
(设计意图：通过模仿习得准确的语音语调，另外，问题设计由易到难，满足不同层次学生的学习需求。)
4. Read in roles.
Teacher divides the students to three groups, then let them read the dialogue in roles.
设计意图：通过角色参与，再次理解文本，内化语言知识。
Step4 Consolidation
Make a new dialogue.
Let the students make a new dialogue according to the tips.
A: What’s the weather like today
B: It’s …
A: let’s…（go swimming/ climb the mountains/make a snowman/fly kites/go out to play）
B: Good idea. Take your… with you.
A: See you.
B: See you.
(设计意图：通过学生自编对话，检测其是否将语言内化，达到语言整体输出的目的，使学生形成语篇意识。)
Step5 Summary
1. Let the students read the sentences on the blackboard.
2. Sing a song. (What’s the weather like today )
(设计意图：通过集体诵读重点句型以及吟唱What’s the weather like today 在轻松的氛围中结束课堂教学。)
Step6 Homework
1. Oral work: Try to recite the passage on page 39.
2. Written work: Make sentences with -What’s the weather like today -It’s…
(设计意图：口头、书面两种方式的作业，既注重了所学内容的及时巩固，又注重了所学内容向生活实际的延伸。)

设计意图：图文并茂的板书设计，简洁明了，呈现所学重点内容的同时，吸引学生的眼球，集中学生的注意力。
