3、分块勾画出花脸各部位的图形
；
碎花脸：有一种主色和许多配色，色彩丰富构图多样，非常花哨。
谱式分类
整脸：只用一种颜色为主色，简单勾画出五官。
三块瓦：脸眉、眼、鼻的形状非常夸张，从而把脸分成额头和左右两颊三大块。
十字门脸：额头上有一个色条，一直延长到鼻子，和两个眼窝构成一个“十”字
歪脸：特点是不对称， 给人以歪斜之感。表现打手之类的角色。
僧脸： 额头上勾一个舍利珠圆光或九个点，表示佛门受戒。
太监脸：专用来表现擅权害人的宦官 ，色彩只有红白两种 ，脑门和两颊的胖纹，表现出养尊处优 脑满肠肥的神态。
象形脸：一般用于神仙妖怪，没有固定谱式。让观众一目了然，一看便知道何种神怪所化。
