学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: This period is going to help the students to consolidate what is learned in the previous two periods. And in order to achieve the teaching goal, there will be some exercises for the students to practice. Student Analysis: The students have almost mastered the key expressions and the ways for improving one’s English. But they may still have problems with the language points in Section A.
核心素养目标 Linguistic Competence： Be able to understand the key language points and master the usage of them. Cultural Awareness： Good English movies are not only a great part of western culture, but also a good way for second language learner to improve their English. Thinking Quality： Be able to work out the problems in the practice after learning the language points. Learning Capacity : Be able to put what is learned into practical use actively so as to promote one’s learning efficiency.
重点 Key words: repeat,note, pal, physics, chemistry, memorize, pattern. Key phrases: look up, find it difficult to do, the secret to doing sth., so...that..., most of the time, be afraid to do, fall in love with, key words, as well, Key sentences: How do you learn English I learn English by studying with a group. Do you learn English by reading aloud\ Yes, I do. It helps my pronunciation., How can I read faster You can read faster by reading word groups. How can I improve my pronunciation One way is by listening to tapes. How do you improve your writing By keeping a diary in English.
难点 How to make it easier for the students understand the language points; How to make sure that all the students can master the usage of the language points.

Ⅰ. Warm-Up Dictation 【6min】 Grammar Focus 【4min】 Review Oral test 【4min】 Read the dictating words, phrases, or sentences to the students, three times for each item, clearly and loudly enough. Listen carefully and try to put down the words, phrases, or sentences in the correct forms.

Lead the students to read and translate the sentences in Grammar Focus. Give the students two chances to read the article of 3a to test their oral ability. Read the sentences in Grammar Focus all together in English twice and then translate them into pete to get the chances to read the passage and try one’s best to get a higher mark.
Ⅱ. Presentation Language points 【6min】 Present the students the key language points in Section A on PPT one by one. Give necessary explanation that the students need. e.g: 花费：take/spend/cost/pay/afford finish/practice/mind/enjoy/avoid+v-ing too...to.../so...that.../so that/enough Learn the language points carefully and take notes when there is necessity.

Ⅲ. Practice Relevant exercises 【6min】 Check answers 【6min】 Show the students the relevant exercises and ask the students to finish them with the help of the language points learned above. Check the answers of the exercises one by pete to finish the exercises within the limited time. Revise one’s answers carefully. Copy the exercises which one makes mistakes on.
Ⅳ. Promotion Reinforcement 4a-4c 【6min】 Homework Have the students finish the tasks in 4a to 4c to consolidate the learning of Section A. Finally, check the answers all together. 【具体见如下Excel表格内容】 Do the exercises in 4a-4c, and then compete to show one’s answers in front of the whole class. Revise one’s answers in the end. Finish the homework after class.
