A: I wonder where we should go next.
H: How about that new ride over there
A: Well ... it looks scary.
H: Come on! I promise it’ll be exciting! If you’re scared, just
shout or hold my hand.
[After the ride]
A: You were right! That was fun! I was scared at first, but
shouting did help.
H: See, that wasn’t so bad, right You never know until you try
something.
A: Yes, I’m so glad I tried it.
H: Do you want to go to Water World now
A: Sure, but I’m getting hungry. Do you know where we can get
some good food quickly

2. suggest “暗示; 表明”, 后接宾语从句。
“Are you suggesting that it was my fault ” he asked.
His red face suggested that he was very angry.
3. suggest 与 advise 的区别
advise “建议”, 可用于 advise sb. to do sth. (建议某人做某事)
e.g. He advised us to leave earlier.
但suggest 用于suggest sb . doing sth.
e.g. He suggested us leaving earlier.

There are many rides there. At first, Alice thought the new ride looked scary. But I promised that it would be exciting . I told her if she was scared, she could hold my hand. After taking the ride, Alice said she was scared at first, but shouting did help. I told her she never knew until she tried something . She was so glad she tried it. Then Alice got hungry. I suggested Water City Restaurant in Water World. It serves delicious food. On our way to Water City Restaurant, we passed by Uncle Bob’s. The restaurant looked interesting. The sign said a rock band played there every evening. We decided to have dinner there. A staff told us the band started playing at eight o’clock. The staff told us the restaurant was busy at that time. So we should come a little earlier to get a table.
