Science is about discovering and exploring(探索)the natural world. Explorations can occur in the classroom, laboratory or field. As part of your science lessons, you will take part in many activities using many different materials, equipment and chemicals, which can be dangerous if not used correctly. As a result, you may be faced with biological, chemical or physical hazards.

★Do not enter or work in the laboratory unless an instructor is present.
★Never enter areas where chemicals are kept.
★Taking any chemicals or equipment away from the classroom or laboratory is not allowed.
The safety rules must be followed at all times. Review these rules with your teacher and parents, then sign and get the signature(签名)of a parent. The signature shows that you understand the lab can be dangerous, and that you have read the rules and agree to follow them at all times. [2021云南曲靖一中月考]Listening to the radio is something that I really like to do. Whether it’s to listen to my favorite songs, catch up on the latest news or just listen to something to help me relax, the radio is always there for me!
I’m surprised when talking to my students in school, to find out that many of them hardly ever listen to the radio because they think it’s boring. I always listen to the radio when I’m driving my car or doing my homework. The radio can also be very useful for me as it often has traffic updates(最新消息)which tell me whether the road I want to use has a traffic jam on it.
There is a song by The Buggles called “Video Killed the Radio Star” which I used to listen to a lot and now it makes more sense to me. Have TV and the Internet taken the place of the radio for many people
Now that I am living in Germany I recently managed to get hold of an old radio for free and so now I like to listen to it when I’m getting ready in the morning and when I’m making my tea. Of course it can be annoying(讨厌的)when a song that I don’t like comes on the radio but most of time I like the music that is played and it is also a good way for me to hear new songs. Listening to my new radio in German is good for my language learning because I can listen to the news, and also hear new German songs.
I’ve always listened to the radio since I was young and thought that it is a very popular way to listen to music and news, but after talking with my students I have found that might not be the case anymore. Whatever people think, you will still always find me dancing around my room listening to the radio!
4. What makes the author surprised according to the passage
A. That few people know about the radio.
B. That few students have stopped listening to the radio.
C. That many students seldom listen to the radio.
D. That the radio isn’t of great importance as before.
5. Which is not the benefit of the radio for the author
A. The radio keeps him informed of news.
B. The radio helps him finish his homework.
C. The radio provides him with a way to relax.
D. The radio helps him to improve German.
6. What can be inferred from the fourth paragraph
A. The author is not a native of Germany.
B. Germany offers free radios to its people.
C. Some songs make the author tired of the radio.
D. The author majors in the German language.
7. How does the author describe his hobby of listening to the radio
A. Coldly.
B. Proudly.
C. Anxiously.
D. Excitedly.
Now that I am living in Germany I recently managed to get hold of an old radio for free and so now I like to listen to it when I’m getting ready in the morning and when I’m making my tea.
I’m surprised...to find out that many of them hardly ever listen to the radio"可知,很多学生几乎不听收音机这件事令作者感到惊讶,故选C项。
Listening to my new radio in German is good for my language learning"可推知,作者并不是德国本土人,因此选A项。

Parents often believe that they have a good relationship with their teenagers. But last summer, Joanna and Henry noticed a change in their older son. Suddenly he seemed to be talking far more to his friends than to his parents. “The door to his room is always shut,” Joanna noted.
Tina and Mark noticed similar changes in their 14-year-old daughter. “She used to cuddle up(依偎)against me on the sofa and talk,” said Mark. “Now we joke that she does this only when she wants something. Sometimes she wants to be treated like a little girl and sometimes like a young lady. The problem is understanding which time is which”
Before age 11, children like to tell their parents what’s on their mind. “In fact, parents are first on the list,” said Michael Riera, author of Uncommon Sense for Parents with Teenagers. “This completely changes during the teen years,” Riera explained. “They talk to their friends first, then maybe their teachers, and their parents last.”
Parents who know what’s going on in their teenagers’ lives are in the best position to help them. To break down the wall of silence, parents should create chances to understand what their children want to say, and try to find ways to talk and write to them. And they must give their children a mental(思想的)break, for children also need freedom, though young. Another thing parents should remember is that to be a friend, not a manager, with their children is a better way to know them.
8. “The door to his room is always shut” suggests that the son _______.
A. keeps himself away from his parents
B. begins to dislike his parents
C. is always busy with his study
D. doesn’t want to be ignored
9. What troubles Tina and Mark most is that _______.
A. their daughter isn’t as lovely as before
B. they don’t know what to say to their daughter
C. they can’t read their daughter’s mind exactly
D. their daughter talks with them only when she needs help
10. Which of the following best explains “the wall of silence” in the last paragraph
A. Teenagers talk a lot with their friends.
B. Teenagers do not talk much with their parents.
C. Teenagers do not understand their parents.
D. Teenagers talk little about their own lives.
11. What can we learn from the passage
A. Parents are unhappy with their growing children.
B. Parents have to talk with children face to face.
C. Parents shouldn’t be angry with teenagers.
D. Parents should try to understand their teenagers.
position n.
Another thing parents should remember is that to be a friend, not a manager, with their children is a better way to know them.
parents should remember是定语从句,修饰Another thing; that引导表语从句,从句中不定式短语"to be a friend, not a manager, with their children"作主语。
Suddenly he seemed to be talking far more to his friends than to his parents"可知,他们的儿子与朋友交流比与他们交流多,所以此处的意思是疏远父母。
Sometimes she wants to be treated like a little girl and sometimes like a young lady. The problem is understanding which time is which"可知,Tina和Mark弄不清楚何时要把女儿看成小女孩,何时要把她看成一个年轻的女士,故他们不能确切地读懂女儿的想法。故选C项。
【解题思路】 根据最后一段中的解决方法"parents should create chances to understand what their children want to say...write to them"可知,此处指的是青少年不愿意与父母谈话。

Signs of Healthy Friendships
Once in a while it’s helpful to see if your friendship is as healthy as it can be. You might get used to a friendship over time to the point where you don’t see room for improvement. And since great friendships are priceless, you should always surround yourself with the kind of people who will lift your spirits, make you laugh, and remind(提醒)you that you are loved. 1 Here are characteristics(特征)that strong friendships share.
2
Friends make you feel comfortable with yourself, so you don’t need to act like someone you’re not. Your friends know your shortcomings and love you anyway. You are perhaps the “best version” of yourself when you’re with your friends.
A healthy friendship includes plenty of gentle honesty. True friends won’t pretend just to avoid an argument(争论). 3 As a result, you’ll know where you stand with your friends and won’t be afraid to share your true opinions.
They argue in a healthy way.
One of the biggest misunderstandings about good friends is that they never fight. But let’s face it: everyone fights. 4 In fact, voicing your opinions freely will cause you to disagree from time to time and that’s okay.
Healthy friendships mean you can be friends with someone else, too.
5 That’s why great friends will improve your relationship, yet still encourage you to meet people and try new things without them. A healthy friendship means that sometimes the two of you spend time apart, and that’s okay.
A. Arguing isn’t unhealthy.
B. Is your friendship as healthy as it can be
C. Good friends dine out together from time to time.
D. Good friends are real and honest with each other.
E. With an unhealthy friendship, you know clearly that something is “off”.
F. Even if you have the best friend, it doesn’t hurt to expand your social circle.
G. In a positive friendship, your friends won’t lie to you, and they won’t hurt your feelings either.
Once in a while it’s helpful to see if your friendship is as healthy as it can be"以及下文中的"Here are characteristics(特征)that strong friendships share"可知,B项符合语境,起承上启下的作用,且B项中的"as healthy as it can be"与上文中的"as healthy as it can be"相照应。
由下文中的"you don’t need to act like
someone you’re not"及"A healthy friendship includes plenty of gentle honesty"可知,空处应是说好朋友之间应真诚相待,故选D项。
They argue in a healthy way"及空处所在段内容可知,A项符合语境。
Healthy friendships mean you can be friends with someone else, too"及空处所在段内容可知,空处应指你最好的朋友不会影响你的社交圈的扩大,故选F项。

1. behavior/behaviour 【解题思路】 考查词形转换。
on the other hand
be willing to do sth.
此处in new ways意为"用新的方法"。
此处what 引导的从句作focus on 的宾语,what在从句中作宾语。

Every day people saw a boy sing in a park. In fact, they didn’t know that this boy had cancer and that he had no more time left. But he looked very optimistic and active.
One day, the boy was wandering in the park. Suddenly a good smell flew over and it attracted him to come under a peach tree. To his joy, he saw a girl dancing pleasingly.
Watching her for a long time, he said, “You are great! You look like a dancing butterfly!”
“Thank you!” this girl looked up and said shyly.
“Are you blind ” said the boy in amazement.
The girl made no reply but nodded hard.
“Sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt you!” said the boy in a hurry.
“Never mind!” the girl seemed to be easy.
They knew each other in this way.
From then on, they often met each other. While the boy was singing, the girl danced to his songs.
Time passed quickly!
“Look! How beautiful the peach blossoms are! They are just like you!” said the boy unconsciously(无意地).
“But I can’t see,” the girl lowered her head.
“I’m sorry!” the boy couldn’t help regretting saying the words. “How foolish I am! How can I say such words before her ” he thought. His heart was soon covered by an idea.
Several days later, the girl told the boy happily that her eyes would be cured quickly because someone was willing to donate his corneas(角膜)to her. Hearing the girl’s words, the boy also smiled happily.
That day, darkness seemed to come earlier than ever. The boy said to the girl, “I have never believed there was eternity(永恒)in the world. But I know I am mistaken! There is eternity indeed — friendship. Now I have to go and I am afraid that we can’t meet again. I will always remember our friendship!”
注意:1. 所续写短文的词数应为80左右;
2. 至少使用5个短文中标有下划线的关键词语;
3. 续写部分的开头已为你写好;
Hearing the boy’s words, the girl couldn’t help crying.____________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
His heart was soon covered by an idea"可知,续写应侧重少女恢复光明,知道真相后的感动,注意文字中传递积极健康的信息。
One possible version
Hearing the boy’s words, the girl couldn’t help crying. The boy then comforted the girl, and suggested that she dance once again while he was singing. Having sung for a long time, the boy said goodbye to her, keeping his cancer a secret. Later on, the girl knew the truth that the boy had donated his corneas to her selflessly. How she wished they could meet each other again! She would treasure her eyes forever because they acted as a timely reminder that something was inside them forever — their friendship.
