Language points
“So+助动词(be动词或情态动词)+主语.”说明前面所说的情况也同样适用于后面的人或物，意为“某人(物)也一样”。
“So+主语+助动词(be动词或情态动词).”结构意为“……的确如此，确实如此”，表示后者赞同前者的话或意见，进一步强调并重复前句所述的内容。
Betty: Yes. Mum. l can look after myself, although it
won’t be easy for me.
Mum: Well, make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruit and
vegetables. And I’ve left lots of your favourite
biscuits.
Betty: Don’t worry. I can cook simple meals.
Dad: There won’t be anybody to wake you up in the
morning.
Language points
make sure 确保；务必。make sure常用于祈使句, 后面常接that宾语从句、不定式或of介词短语。
如：Make sure that you come here before five.
确保你五点之前到这。
Betty: I’Il be fine. My clock rings so loudly that it
will certainly wake me up.
Mum: I’m sure I’ve forgotten something, but I don’t
know what it is!

Language points
so ... that 如此……以至于……
(1)so+形容词+a/an+可数名词单数+that从句。
如: Bill is so cute a boy that we all like him.
贝尔是如此可爱的一个男孩, 我们都喜欢他。
(2)so+many/few/much/little+名词+that从句。
如: The explorer had so many falls that he was black and blue all over. 探险家摔了很多跤, 以至于全身上下青一块, 紫一块的。

be sure＋of／about+动名词或名词，“对……有把握”；be sure to do sth. “肯定会做某事”； be sure+宾语从句；“确信……”
