教材分析 In Section A 3a-3c, 3a asks students to read an article about what volunteers, Mario and Mary do. It is aimed to giving practice in extended reading for general information. 3b is to let students to get specific information by reading. And in 3c, the purpose is to get students to use infinitives to complete the sentences in context, using the target language.
教学目标 知识目标: (1) Students can master the following words and language chunks: several, strong, feeling, satisfaction, joy, owner, journey, try out, give up several hours each week to help others, want to be an animal doctor, help him to get his future dream job, want to learn more about, how to care for animals, decide to try out for sth. (2) Students can read the article 3a and offer some help. 能力目标: Students can talk about volunteering and charities from interests, volunteer work, opinions and feelings with the language chunks. 态度与价值观: Students can understand how to offer help and take an active part in volunteering by this period. Don’t put it off, become a volunteer today. If everyone gives a little love, the world will become better and better.
