1. The status and the function
This unit is about environment and how to care for the earth. By studying of this unit ,We’ll enable the students to improve environment ideas and use them in their daily life. So I think the teaching aims are the followings:
Knowledge aims
a. Master the new phrases: pick flowers, cut down trees, make the air
dirty, waste water, drive a car.
b. Master the sentences: We should … We shouldn’t …
Ability aims
a. To develop Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
b. To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and expressing.
Emotion aims
a. Enable students to love our earth.
b. Let students understand the importance of protecting environment.

The key points: Ss can read and write the key phrases and
sentences: pick flowers, cut down trees, make the air
dirty, waste water, drive a car.
