教材内容分析 The theme of reading and thinking is to describe the first day of high school. Starting from the exchange of their own feelings, students read an Internet personal homepage where a Chinese high school student record what he saw and heard on the first day of school . Students can experience the feelings of their peers, and finally make a comprehensive description of their first day. The first day of school is a memorable day for every student, It is meaningful for students to record it and reflect on it.
学情分析 Students have a certain language foundation, and are also full of curiosity and yearning for the first day in high school . The learning of this class can make it easy for students to learn how to describe their own first day.
教学目标设计 By the end of this lesson, students should be able to: 1. learn the words and phrases that express the first impression and emotion in the text and use them. 2. master the text information through mind map to improve the ability of summarizing, analyzing and judging and oral expression. 3. help Han Jin solve the problems in the text, learn a positive outlook on life, reflect and guide his high school life.

教学过程设计 Period1 Activity 1 Free talk 1.Ask students to express their likes and dislikes in English e.g. When we chat online, we can also use______ to show our feelings, like Which one do you think can best describe your feelings of the first day at senior high school Purpose of design: to arouse students ‘ interest in reading a web page and learn to use adjectives to express feelings. Activity2 Brainstorming Ask students to share with their friends about feelings on the first day at senior high school （1）Have you met something exciting or annoying （2）Talk about some details about it.when/where/who/what how/why Purpose of design: to learn to talk what happened on the first day. Activity3 Ask students to read and draw a mind map according to the tips below. Then share with his or her partner. Purpose of design: to learn to grasp the detailed information of the passage. Activity4 Reading for detailed information Ask the students to read again and find out the positive and negative aspects mentioned by Han Jing. （1）How does she express them in the text Find out the words, the phrases or sentences. （2）As peers (a person who is the same age as you), please offer her some suggestions. Ask students to think about a question“How to deal with the positive aspects and negative experiences at senior high school ” Purpose of design: to learn how Han Jing talked about her feelings. 教学评价与反思 本节课是高一阶段的第一节阅读课，围绕文章主题设计了导入、预测、快速阅读、细读、推断、讨论等环节，旨在通过各种活动引导学生进一步深入理解课文，了解韩晶对高中生活第一天的印象。学生在讨论、交流和展示中不断得到提高语言能力和思维能力。但不足之处在于本课文文本简单，处理得不够细致，部分词汇的运用学生并未完全掌握，还缺少练习运用。
