Section A (1a-2c)
一、设计理念
1.在教学过程中始终体现学生的主体地位,发挥教师的指导作用。以学生的活动为主线,激励学生主动参与,主动实践,主动思考,主动探究,发现规律。
2.为营造宽松和谐的学习氛围,让学生合作探究,培养合作学习能力,以鼓励为主,鼓励学生参与课堂教学,让每个学生都获得成就感。
二、教材分析
本课的教学内容是go for it 七年级下册unit9 Section A 1a---2c.Section A的话题是describe people’s looks,其教学内容都是围绕情境,激发学生的学习兴趣,点出本节课的学习目标。
三、学情分析
初中生对英语普遍感兴趣,但有很大不稳定性,好奇心强,在教学过程中,注重启发引导,通过任务型教学法,让他们展开想象,乐于接受,易于接受,熟练运用所学句型来询问他人的外表,并用所学词汇简单描述他人发型,身高及身材。
四、教学目标
1.知识目标:
(1)学习本单元的新单词和短语 look like, hair, straight, curly, tall, short, medium height, medium build, thin, heavy.
(2)学会怎样去描述人的外貌
What do you look like I am… . I have… .
What does he/she look like He/She is… . He/She has… .
(3)什么时候用be, 什么时候用have(has)
2.能力目标:学会描述人的外形、外貌,包括身高、体重、发型。
3.情感目标:学会合作学习,友好、客观地描述人的形象,树立不要以貌取人的价值观。
五、教学重点难点
教学重点:1.掌握本单元新单词和目标语言。
2.能够运用目标语言描绘人的外形外貌。
教学难点:回答 What do you like / What does he look like 时,可以有两种回答方式,一种为 I'm…./He's…需要注意的是be 动词后跟着形容词/表示身高;另一种为I have …/He has…需要注意的是后跟着形容词+名词.
六、教学方法
新课程标准倡导任务型教学,培养学生的综合运用语言能力,所以我采用多媒体教学、情景教学、直观教学的教学方法。通过让学生看情景,听录音,角色表演,师生、生生互动,使他们对学习内容感到亲切,乐于接受。
七、教学策略
本节课将在活动中相互交流,相互合作,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验,创建开放式、探究式课堂。让学生观察课件画面,回答问题,让学生学会使用认知策略;让学生表演对话,引导学生交际。充分利用多媒体、录音等资源策略。
八、教学手段
用多媒体、录音和文字,把抽象语言直观化,为学生运用英语进行交际创设情境。
九、教学过程
Step 1 warm-up(Find friends and do actions) 伴随身体活动,创设和谐的课堂气氛,让学生愉快自然融入课堂的学习。
Step 2 Lead-in
I am tall and thin. I have long straight black hair.
And I wear glasses. What do you look like What does he/ she look like Today Let’s learn unit 9.(板书课题)
Step 3 presentation
1. Show the learning aims.
2. Study new words through pointing to students in the class and some pictures.( heavy, thin, of medium build, of medium height ,curly hair, long straight hair.)
(1) What does he/she look like He’s really tall and thin. He has long straight hair. He has long curly hair.
(2) What does she look like She’s of medium build.
Step 4 Practice (Talk about your height, build and hair.)(通过自我感知、体验情境,点出本节课的目标语言。)
1.Pair work
A: What do you look like
B: I am short / tall /of medium height. I am thin / heavy / of medium build. I have … hair.
2. Pair work (Talk about their height, build and hair.)
A: What does … look like
B: He/She is short / tall / of medium height. He/She is thin / heavy / of medium build. He/She has … hair.
3.Show myself (Say you and say me ! )
Step 5 Finish 1a. Match the words with the people in the picture.
You can use some letters more than once.
Step 6 Listening (1b,2a,2b)
1. Finish (1b)Listen and fill in the blanks in the picture. Can you find Amy’s friend
2. Finish (2a) Let's know about these friends (David、Sally and Peter.) What do they look like
3. Finish(2b ) Listen again. Fill in the chart.
学生在完成1a的基础上,在较真实的语境中锻炼听、说能力,激发学习兴趣。整个任务中,教师是引导者参与者和指导者,充分体现学生的主体性原则,达到了归纳新课程语言的效果。进一步渗透特殊疑问句What does … look like ,并体会选择疑问句以及回答。
Step 7 Summary
引导学生探究,发现并总结规律。询问某人体貌特征的常用句型:What do/does + 主语+look like?以及回答:主语 + be +形容词,
主语+have/has +名词/名词词组。
Step 8 Team work (Game time )
通过这个活动让学生再次达到学以致用的目的。
Step 9 主题升华,品德渗透
Don’t judge the others by their looks! 不要以貌取人!
Heavy or thin, Tall or short, Straight or curly, Young or old,
We’re all the same. We’re all beautiful.
Step10 homework
