2. 了解中国古代四大发明，增强民族自豪感。

四、教学过程
I. Warm-up
1. Fill in the blanks
学生复习上节课故事中制作一个飞行器的步骤，并填空。
How to invent a flying machine
First, we’ll ____________________.
Next, we’ll ______________________________________________.
Then we’ll _______________.
Finally, we’ll _________________!
【设计意图】在回答问题的过程中，再次巩固了解如何介绍发明的过程，激发学生兴趣，快速进入课堂。
2. Ask and answer
问答练习。学生两人一组，根据Ask and answer部分的图片与对话提示相互问答。
S1: Is ... a great invention
S2: Yes, it is. People can ...
【设计意图】本活动可以培养学生的口语输出能力，同时巩固复习并运用上节课所学句型。
II. Presentation
1. Look and say
教师PPT出示Listen and enjoy部分的图片与单词，学生看图回答问题。
What does he want to invent？
He wants to invent ...
【设计意图】通过看图回答问题的活动，可以培养学生看图提取关键信息的能力，同时激发学生的想象思维。
2. Listen, chant and answer
教师播放Listen and enjoy部分录音，学生听录音跟唱后回答问题，教师可播放两遍音频。
There are some inventions in the song. What are they
A flying car. A special toy. A special hat.
【设计意图】通过听录音跟唱回答问题，活跃课堂气氛，锻炼学生听录音提取关键信息的能力，同时帮助学生理解本部分内容，并为后续的活动做准备。
3. Let’s talk
教师出示Listen and enjoy部分提到的发明，引导学生讨论问题。

(2) If you have a chance to invent something, what are you going to invent
【设计意图】通过讨论问题，培养学生思考的习惯和能力，并为学生提供展示口语的机会，同时，为引出中国的四大发明做准备。
4. Look and say
教师询问学生中国的四大发明是什么。
What are China’s Four Great Inventions
之后教师出示Culture corner部分图片，一个一个地出示这四大发明。
【设计意图】在回答问题的过程中，结合图片，了解中国古代的四大发明。
5. Choose and say
选选说说。学生选择一个其中一个发明，并介绍一下该发明的作用。
The compass is a great invention. People will not get lost with it.
Gunpowder is a great invention. People can use it to make firecrackers and weapons.
Papermaking is a great invention. People can write things on paper.
Printing is a great invention. People can use printing to make many copies of a book.
【设计意图】通过选一选说一说，可以激发学生的兴趣，同时明白这些发明的伟大之处。
III. Practice
1. Look and match
教师出示四大发明的图片以及其作用，引导学生完成连线练习。
【设计意图】通过连线的活动，加深对四大发明用途的理解，增强民族自豪感。
2. Listen, make and say
教师再次播放Listen and enjoy部分歌曲，学生跟唱之后，引导学生两人一组改编歌词，之后进行演唱。

【设计意图】通过学生两人进行改编歌曲，可以帮助学生拓宽思维想象能力，同时激发学生的创作能力与合作能力。
IV. Production
1. Do a survey and record
教师出示Do a survey部分学生对话，让学生调查几个同学的，了解他们想要发明什么东西，并记录关键信息。
S1: What are you going to invent
S2: I’m going to invent ...
S1: Why
S2: Because it can help ...
【设计意图】通过问答练习，可以培养学生的口语输出能力，同时为后面的活动奠定基础。
2. Make a report
调查报告。学生根据调查结果，分组进行全班交流。
S1: This is ... He is going to invent ... Because ...
【设计意图】本活动可以培养学生的口语输出能力，同时巩固并运用本节课所学句型，检查学生本节知识掌握情况，增进同学之间的了解。
V. Homework
1. 将本组的调查报告讲给父母听。
2. 改编Listen and enjoy部分歌曲并表演给朋友。
