宾语从句：在复合句中作谓语动词或介词的宾语
一、宾语从句的引导词：that；whether,if；特殊疑问词
1.当宾语从句是陈述句时，引导词用that。that本身没有任何意义，只有连接作用，在口语中或非正式文体中常省略。常接that引导的宾语从句的谓语动词有：believe, expect, explain, feel, hear, hope, imagine, prefer, promise, report, say, see, tell, think, understand, warn, wish等。
I hope (that) it will snow this winter.
I believe (that) we shall become good friends.
Betty thinks (that) trees can improve the air.
注意：有些宾语从句不能省略that。如果谓语动词后跟有两个或更多个并列的宾语从句，第二个及以后的that都不可以省略。主语中有it作形式宾语，that不可省。
He said (that) the book was very interesting and that(不省略) all the children like to read it.
I think it necessary that he should stay here.
2.当宾语从句是一般疑问句时，引导词用if或whether来引导，if或whether在句中意为“
是否”，常放在ask，see，say，know和find out等动词（组）后面。一般情况下，两者常可换用，在口语中多用if。
He tells me that he will go to the college next year. 他告诉我他明年上大学。
I don’t know if / whether there will be a bus any more. 我不知道是否还会有公交车。
Lucy asked whether (if) they had a cotton sweater. 露西问他们是否有棉制的运动衫。
whether与if通常情况下可以互换, 但在下列情况下通常用whether而不用if。
①从句后有or not的情况。
The teacher asks me whether I have finished my homework or not.老师问我是否已经完成作业了。
②从句前有介词的情况。
My parents are talking about whether we will go to Hong Kong for travelling.父母正在讨论是否去香港旅游。
His father is worried about whether he will lost his work.他的父亲担心是否会失去工作。
③从句在句首的情况。
Whether you like it, I don’t mind.你是否喜欢, 我不介意。
④ 在动词不定式之前只能用whether 。
I can't decide whether to stay. 我不能决定是否留下。
⑤用if会引起歧义时，只用whether。
Could you tell me if you know the answer 这句话有两种意思：“你能告诉我是否知道答案吗？”或“如果你知道答案，请告诉我，好吗？”。如用whether可避免歧义。
⑥如果主句已有一个if引导的条件句，为了避免产生混淆，应使用whether。
He asked me whether, if there was enough time, I wanted to go to his office.
他问我如有足够的时间是否想去他的办公室。
3.由连接代词who（谁）, whom（谁）, whose（谁的）, what（什么）, which（哪一个）和连接副词when（什么时间）, where（什么地点）, why（为什么）, how（怎么样）引导的宾语从句。这些连接代词和连接副
词在宾语从句中充当某个成分，不能省略，并且宾语从句要用陈述语序。

四、宾语从句的否定转移
在宾语从句中，当主句的主语为第一人称，谓语动词是think,believe,suppose等动词时，要将从句的否定词转移到主句中，即主句的谓语动词用否定式，而从句的谓语动词用肯定式。
I don’t believe that he will do such a silly thing. 我相信他不会做如此愚蠢的事。
改为"V+不定式短语"。当主语谓语动词是hope, agree, choose, wish, decide, promise (许诺)等动词时，且主句和从句的主语相同， 可进行这种转换。它们既可接宾语从句， 又可接动词不定式短语。
例如： He hopes that he will be back very soon. → He hopes to be back very soon. 他希望能很快回来。
改为"疑问词 + 不定式"结构。 当主句谓语动词是ask, tell, forget, remember 等动词时， 宾语从句可转化成"疑问词 + 不定式"结构。
例如： Could you tell me how I can get to the station → Could you tell me how to get to the station
你能告诉我到车站怎么走吗？
She has forgotten how she can open the door. → She has forgotten how to open the door.
他已经忘记如何打开那扇门了。
改为"it + 形容词 + 不定式短语"。
例如： I found that it was difficult to learn English well. → I found it difficult to learn English well. 我发现学好英语是困难的。
改为名词或名词短语。
例如： I'll take back what I said. → I'll take back my words.
