用法
We use must and mustn't to talk about rules and obligations.
例句1:We must wear our school uniform.
我们必须要穿校服上学。（校规制度）
例句2：We mustn't speak when the teacher's speaking.
老师讲话时，我们必须安静，不能说话。（课堂纪律）
用法
Must means 'Do it!' If you don't do it, you will be in trouble.
【must do】 你不做，就会有麻烦哦！所以必须要做！
例句：You must listen to the teacher.（义务责任）你必须听老师的话。
Mustn't means 'Don't do it!' If you do it, you will be in trouble.
【mustn't do】 你做了，就会有麻烦！所以一定不能做！
例句：You mustn't be late for class. （义务责任）上学不许迟到！
作用
一、表示必要性
我们可以在句子中使用'must'来谈论我们需要做的事情。例如， 'I must get my hair cut before my meeting tomorrow'。在这句话中，我们可以看到在会议开始之前剪掉头发很重要。也许我想给老板留下好印象！
相反的是'must not' 或者 'mustn't'.。我们用这个来谈论我们需要避免做的事情。例如'I mustn't drink too much beer at this party'。从这句话中，我们可以看出，我认为在聚会上喝太多啤酒并不是一个好主意，我想避免这样做。
作用

但是如果用mustn't，这个句子的意思就变了——
例子：The play is so interesting ，I mustn’t go.这个戏如此有趣，我绝对禁止离开。
就会发现这个意思非常不合拍。
为什么？
因为mustn't通常是单独使用的，口气非常严厉，绝对禁止的意思。
所以上面的句子，要用can't，我不能，而不是mustn’t。
例句：You mustn't smoke at school.在学校里面绝对禁止吸烟。
needn’t与mustn’t 的用法区别
needn’t 的用法：
needn’t 的意思是“不必”“没有必要”。
例子1：If you can lend me the money I needn’t go to the bank.
如果你能借给我钱，我就不必去银行了。
例子2：I’m in no hurry. He needn’t send it by air. He can send it by sea.
我不着急。他不必用航空寄来。海运过来就行。
needn’t与mustn’t 的用法区别
mustn’t 的用法：
mustn’t的意思是“不可以”“不允许”。
例子1：He has a weak heart and must not exercise too hard.
他心脏很弱，不能做强烈的运动。
例子2：Our school has a rule that students must not eat or drink in class.
我们学校规定，学生不许在课上吃喝。
