(2021·山东·日照市)It might be fun to use your smart phone, but be careful. Too much screen time may be harmful to your health.

Looking at a smart phone for a long time can cause eye strain(劳损), headaches and dry eyes. So it is a good idea to take a break every 15 minutes when you are working at a computer or using a smart phone.

So it is wise to cut down the time of children using all kinds of screens.
Third, using screens too much will affect your sleep. According to a study, about 95% of the people to go between the ages of 13 and 64 use electronics before bed, espesially the young people under 20. Doctors say that the light from those electronics at night may make you excited before you go to bed. Then it’s hard for you to get enough sleep. This sounds like a lot to do. So start small—try to go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time as well. (2022·山东日照)During the novel corona-virus outbreak (新冠病毒疫情) we wear masks (口罩) to keep us safe. But many of you may have a problem — you can’t eat when you wear a mask. Now an Israeli company has invented (发明) a kind of mask that you can wear while eating.
The mask has a remote-control mouth. You just need to push down a lever to open a slot in the front of the mask so that you can eat the food. When you take out your eating utensil (餐具), it will close.
The company says the mask can protect people from the virus while they eat. It plans to start selling the mask in the coming months at a price of ¥6-20 higher than that of a regular medical mask.
People have different opinions about the mask. John says it’s a must-have because it helps him to eat while staying safe. But Ron thinks it won’t work when he eats ice cream. He doesn’t want to wear it because the mask will get dirty. But it is fine for solid (固体的) foods like meat.
Besides this kind of mask, people create some other cool inventions during these days. For example, a Chinese company invented a fever-catching helmet (头盔). It can catch people with fevers from up to five meters away. At the same time, it can show the person’s name and medical history, and send this information to nearby hospitals. A Belgian 3D printing company designed a hands-free set. With its help, people can open doors without using their hands. People can use their arms or elbows to open doors instead.
66.Which is the similarity (相同点) of the cool inventions
A.They are made in the same company.
B.They can make less touch between people.
C.They are only useful during the virus breakout.
D.They don’t need to get on the Internet.
67.Which is the best title of the passage
A.Keep away from the virus. B.Wear a mask in a right way
C.Cool inventions keep us safe. D.A safe diet and lifestyle.
(2022·山东日照)The first modern Olympic Games took place in Athens, Greece, in the year 1896. Athletes(运动员) from only 13 countries participated in the Games that year. They competed (比赛) in 43 different events in just 9 sports (track and field, swimming, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, shooting, tennis, weight lifting, and wrestling). In 2004 the summer Olympic Games took place once again in Athens, Greece. This time, athletes from 202 countries competed in 300 events in 28 sports.
Only five sports have been in every Olympic Games. They are track and field, swimming, fencing, cycling, and gymnastics. Other sports come and go in the Olympic Games. For example, tennis was an Olympic sport from 1896 until 1924. Then it disappeared (消失) from the Olympics until 1988. Baseball, badminton, and taekwondo are more recent additions (增加) to the Olympic Games.
It is the job of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to add and remove sports from the Olympic Games. A sport has to be popular in at least 50 countries on three continents before it can be added. However, the IOC doesn’t want to add more sports to the Olympic Games without eliminating others. The IOC is afraid that there will be too many sports in the Olympics.
Artistic events were also a part of the Olympic Games from 1912 to 1948. There were contests in architecture, music, literature, and painting. Today some people think that artistic events and games such as chess should be part of the Olympics. However, many people oppose this idea.
The Olympic Games today are very different from the first modem Olympic Games in 1896. These differences reflect the changing definition and popularity of sports.
68.The purpose of the passage is to introduce _________.
A.how sports come and go in Olympic Games
B.who adds and removes sports from the Olympic Games
C.which sports are popular in modern Olympic Games
D.why some sports events were a part of Olympic Games
69.The underlined word “eliminating” in paragraph 3 means _________.
A.adding B.removing C.taking place D.competing
70.Which of the following is NOT true
A.There are more athletes and sports in the Olympic Games in 2004 than in the year 1896.
B.There weren’t any tennis matches in the Olympic Games in 1980.
C.The recently added Olympic sports are popular in at least 50 countries on three continents.
D.The IOC believes that the more sports in the Olympic Games, the better.

One reason for this is weather change. Scientists at the University of Exeter collected information from 27 countries. They found that weather change improved growing conditions (条件)in 21 of these countries. In the past 60 years, people could grow more bananas per hectare(每公顷).
However, if temperatures are too high, there won’t be so many bananas in these countries. Ten of the countries, the world’s biggest country of bananas, will have fewer bananas by 2050.
Why is that In fact, the right temperature for growing bananas is between 24℃ and 32℃. If temperatures get too high, they will stop growing.
Diseases(疾病)are another reason of bananas’ death(死亡). Bananas are different from other plants(茎段). This means that all banana plants are almost the same. In other words, if a disease makes one plant die, it could make them all die.
One serious disease is called Panama. It happens in South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia. If one banana plantation has the disease, it will take 30 years until it can grow bananas again. Scientists have to find a way to fight against this disease.

Around the world, people live in homes of many shapes and sizes. In some countryside, people live together with their family in a huge house with gardens or backyards. On the other hand, the buildings in cities are usually very close together.
A home can be any kind of building—large or small. Some people even have homes on boats, in tents or in caravans that can be moved around. Caravans are mobile homes. They are towed(拖,拉) by either a car or a huge truck. Some of them are holiday homes. We can see many families staying together in these caravans.
