be supposed to do sth 应该做某事
What makes you unique 什么使你变得独特。
make sb+adj 使…怎么样
make sb do sth 使…做…
person (n.人)——personal(adj.个人的)
Lesson 44
Nobody else in my school comes from Greece！
在我的学校里没有其他的人来自希腊！
nobody else 没有其他人
nobody不定代词， “没有人”。作主语时，谓语动词要用单数
else 表示“另外，其他”，常放在不定代词， 疑问代词或疑问副词之后
My parents want me to study medicine, but I want to continue taking P. E.
我父母想让我学医，但我想继续学习体育。
继续做某事
continue doing 强调继续做同一件事（还未完成）
continue to do 强调继续做另一件事（已经完成一件工作）
e.g. After a rest, he continues reading.
After finishing my homework, I continued to help my mother with the housework.
But she sometimes returns to Greece to play for the Greek National Basketball Team.
但是她有时候会返回希腊，效力于希腊国家篮球队。
return (1)“返回” return to+地方 意为“回到某地”
(2) “归还”
Lesson 45
I want to be like her, but I know that’s impossible.
我想像她那样，但我知道那时不可能的。
It’s impossible to do sth.意为“做某事是不可能的”

But I taught myself by listening to the radio and watching TV programs.
我通过听收音机和看电视节目来自学。
teach oneself = learn by oneself 自学（teach-taught-taught）
Your voice sounds beautiful. 你的嗓音听起来很美。
voice指人的嗓音；
sound可以指自然界中听到的任何声音；v. 听起来
noise 指不悦耳的噪音。
believe in 相信；信任
Lesson 47
Krista, his friend, noticed him looking sad.
他的朋友克里斯塔注意到了他正看上去很伤心。
notice sb. doing sth. 注意到某人正在做某事，强调动作正在发生。
notice sb. do sth. 注意到某人做了某事，强调动作发生的全过程
（动词hear, feel, watch, notice, see等词也可以这样用）
Eg: I noticed her standing behind me.
Did you notice Jack come in
It’s all because of your help!这全是因为你的帮助！
because of因为”，后接名词、代词、动名词等。
because后面接句子
by oneself 单独；独自
fail n. & v. 不及格；失败
Lesson 48
I am one of the best players in the school. 我是学校里最好的运动员之一。
one of + the + 形容词最高级 + 复数名词: 最……的……之一
This gives me some confidence to speak English.这给了我说英语的自信
confidence (n.自信)—— confident (adj.自信的)
give sb.confidence to do sth. 给某人做......的自信
自学teach onself = learn by oneself
独自by onself
玩的开心enjoy oneself
随便吃、用 help oneself to ...
装扮；给某人穿衣服 dress onself
