Have you ever wondered why you're not as happy as you'd like to be Based on my own personal experience and the happiness facts published by Harvard University, I've summarized the following habits that will make you happy!
Laugh often. Laughter is the most powerful medicine to anger or depression. Research has shown that the simple act of smiling can increase your feeling of happiness. ____36____Try to find humor and laughter in life's everyday struggles.
Keep your agreement. Our self-respect is built on the agreements we've made with ourselves and with others. And high self-respect has a direct relationship with happiness. ____37____
Do your best and then let go. Everyone has limitations, and things don't always turn out to be what we'd like them to be—despite our efforts. So always give your best, and then let go. ____38____When you've done your best, you'll have no regrets.
Give back. ____39____According to Harvard, when people do good, their brains become active in the very same reward center that is stimulated when they experience other rewards. So it's not a surprise that people who care more about others are happier than those who care less about others.
These happiness habits have proven to be true in my own life. During those periods when I focus on developing the habits listed above, I do feel happier and more fulfilled-like now. Happiness is not an accident. ____40____
A. Let events run their course.
B. So don't take life too seriously.
C. So do what you say you're going to do.
D. When we succeed, we're more likely to be happy.

F 17. B 18. E 19. D 20. A
根据上文“Wildlife workers in Florida are feeding manatees to keep them from starving.(佛罗里达州的野生动物工作者正在喂海牛,以防止它们挨饿)”以及后文“So far, the rescue workers have already given out 25 tons of lettuce.(到目前为止,救援人员已经分发了25吨生菜)”可知,后文提到了投喂海牛的庞大食物数量,可见这些海洋生物需要的食物量很大。
根据上文“Manatees are huge sea mammals that can be as long as 4 meters when grown.(海牛是巨大的海洋哺乳动物,长到4米长)”以及后文“In spite of their size, manatees only eat plants that live in the sea. That’s one reason they’re sometimes called “sea cows”. They spend most of their time in warm shallow water looking for food.(尽管海牛体型庞大,但它们只吃生活在海里的植物。
根据上文“But Florida’s manatees have been on the US government’s list of endangered animals since 1967. Most threats to manatees come from humans. One of the biggest problems facing the creatures are boats.
根据后文“At one point, there were only about 2, 000 manatees left in Florida. But by 2016, there were roughly 8,800 manatees.
根据上文“Last year, 1,101 manatees died from starving.

B 37. C 38. A 39. G 40. F
G 17. C 18. D 19. A 20. F
根据上一句“Mind mapping is a great way to plan out projects, ideas, and plans”可知,作者在文中开头就阐述了思维导图是规划项目、想法和计划好方法,进一步很可能涉及到思维导图的特点,因此G选项“It gives you a visual means to brainstorm your ideas and the foundations of a structure(它为你提供了一种直观的方式来集思广益你的想法和基础构思)”切题,选项中的“ideas”与上文中的“ideas”相呼应,故选G项。
根据本段下一句“Once you know your question, write that down in the middle of the page.”
根据下一句“Don't try and edit yourself. No matter how crazy, wild, or stupid something may seem at first, get it down onto your mind map.”可知,当明确相关问题并把记在你的思维导图上以后,不要去更改,不管问题看起来有多么疯狂和愚蠢,因此D项“Once you have your question written down, let yourself go(一旦你把你的问题写下来,就让你自己从问题上走开)”切题,选项中的“let yourself go”与下一句中的“Don't try and edit yourself”相呼应,故选D项。
根据上一句“After your initial brainstorm, giving yourself a few days will produce more ideas and expand others. A few days later, come back to your mind map and give yourself another hour or two with it.” 选项“You will find you have a lot more ideas to add.(你会发现你还有很多想法要补充。)”切题,选项中的“a lot more ideas”与上一句中的“more ideas”相呼应。故选A项。
根据上一句“Once you have all your ideas and points numbered, you can then move those to your to-do list manager and place them in the right order. You may find that as you begin working on your project, you change your order round.” 当你开始做你的项目时,你可能会发现,你想改变顺序链,因此F选项“But you will at least have a place to start by having an initial order.(但你至少有一处可以从最初的顺序开始)”切题,选项中的“order”与上一句中的“order”相呼应,故选F项。
