Section A (3a-3c) Reading 教学设计
教学目标:
1、通过自主预习,能认读以下重点单词和短语:
passenger , off, get off , to one’s surprise , onto , trouble , hit , right away , get into...
2、通过运用阅读技巧读懂文章,能够简单的描述事件经过;根据事件发展的思维导图复述文中的新闻事件并谈论自己的看法。
教学重难点:
重点:能够读懂文章,掌握大意以及重点单词、短语。
难点:在阅读过程中如何引导和帮助学生读懂文章,理解公交车司机的行为,学会主动帮助处于危险中的人,并学会谈论自己的看法。
教学过程:
Step 1 :Words
Ask students to read the new words of this part according to the pictures.
Step 2: Warming up and Lead in
T: If you see someone in trouble , what will you do
Shall we give him/her a hand or just be a bystander
S: We should ...
T: Yes , we should try our best to give him/her help.
(通过引导,让学生明白当我们遇到他人陷入困境,我们应该尽力提供帮助。)
Step 3 : While-reading
Today , we are going to learn Unit 1 What’s the matter Section A (3a-3c) Reading part.
Before reading : Tell them how to use reading skills to help them read the story better.
Look at the picture. What can you see Can you guess what is happening
(通过指引学生看标题和文中插图,教会学生描述图片的同时,猜测文章谈论的内容。)
Ask one student to describe the picture like this:
An old man is lying on the side of the road. The woman next to him is shouting for help.The bus driver is getting off the bus .
T: Do you think the bus driver will help them
(提出问题,引导学生将注意力集中到标题”The bus driver and passengers save an old man.”)
Skimming:
Task 1 Read the passage quickly and answer the questions.
1.Skim for the main idea of the passage:
2.Do you think it comes from a newspaper or a book How do you know
Task 2 Skim the passage for the general idea of each paragraph.
Para One: The bus driver saw an old man lying on the road.
Para Two: The bus driver and passengers helped the old man.
Para Three: The old man was saved in time by the doctors.
Task 3 Scanning
Read the passage again and get the detailed information.
When did the event happen Where did it happen
Who helped the old man What did they do
What’s the ending
What did Wang Ping think about
Task 4 T or F questions to help them understand the passage better.
Finish the exercise 3b. and check the things that happened in the story.
Step 4 : Post-reading
Retell what happened according to the time lines.
at 9:00 a.m. yesterday→bus driver’s reaction→passengers’ reaction→result
Step 5 : Group work
Task 1 Discuss the questions with a partner.
1.Why was Wang Ping surprised that the passengers agreed to go to the hospital with him
2.Did the passengers think Wang Ping did the right thing How do you know
3.Do you agree that people often do not help others because they do not want to get into trouble Why or why not
Task 2 Read aloud
Ask Students read the whole passage together to understand it better.
Task 3 Practice
Fill the blanks to master the key points in the passage and learn from the bus driver.
Step 6: Summary and Homework
We should learn from the bus driver---Help others anytime and anywhere if necessary.
1、整理课堂笔记;
2、熟读3a课文,勾画出困难的句子;
3、练习册上阅读训练1篇;
4、预习:熟读Grammar Focus.
教学反思:
学生在阅读板块学习时要做到提前预习,这样在进行阅读课时就不会因为有生词而影响阅读的效率,对阅读技巧的训练要贯穿与学习和练习中。小组合作学习要扎实落实下去。
