语篇研读
What: 本课语篇属于语篇类型中的记叙文。主要通过人们对春天的印象，南北方春天的区别，并且从气温，降雨量，日照时间和植物生长特点这四个方面介绍了昆明的春天。表达了对自己家乡春天的赞美和热爱。
Why: 主要通过对昆明春天的描写，让读者感受到昆明春天和其他地方春天的不同。本单元Lesson2学习了石家庄的春天，代表北方春天的特点，这课学习了解南方春天的特点。让不同地区的同学都可以感知到不同地区的春天是有区别的，感受春天带给人的希望和活力，热爱春天，热爱自己的家乡。
How: 本课主要采用一般现在时态通过从概况到具体，通过对比的方法引出了对昆明春天的描写。课文最后才点出自己的家乡是昆明，设计了悬念，使得读者带着好奇心一直读到最后。这样的写作手法值得学生借鉴。
教学目标
通过本课学习，学生能够：
获取和梳理春天总的特点和给人的感受，昆明春天的气候特点。（学习理解）
分析文本结构特点，做出思维导图，理清作者写作思路,并根据思
维导图复述课文。（应用实践）
仿照作者写作方法，用英语描述自己家乡春天的气候特点。（迁移创新）
教学过程
Step1. 活动层次：基于语篇的学习理解类活动
1. 获取和梳理春天总的特点和给人的感受，昆明春天的气候特点。（学习理解）
Activity1. Show some pictures about spring. And then ask 2 questions for students to discuss.
Would you like to live in a place where there are no winters.
What do you enjoy most about spring
Then have the students say something about spring.
Warm weather, clear and fresh air, the green plants, the blossoming flowers, the new life and so on.
Activity2. Show the author's photo and ask students to read the text to find out where the author's hometown is.
Activity3. Have the students read the text with the following questions and find out the answers to these questions.
What’s the average temperature in winter /summer in Kunming
How much rain does the city get every year
How many hours of sunshine does the city get every year
Why are there many flowers all year round in Kingming
Step2 活动层次：深入语篇的应用实践类活动
2. 分析文本结构特点，做出思维导图，理清作者写作思路,并根据思维导图复述课文。（应用实践）
Activity4.Read the text again and make a mind map.
Activity5. Have the students retell the text according the mind map in groups. And then choose several students to show it in front of the class.
Step3 活动层次：超越语篇的迁移创新类活动
3. 仿照作者写作方法，用英语描述自己家乡春天的气候特点。（迁移创新）
Activity6.Have the students talk about the spring in their hometown according the tips. Write a short passage. After several minutes, have some students read their passages and ask others to listen and check.

Activity8 practice
Listen to the passage and finish Ex2 on Page9, and check the answers.

Write a short passage of spring in your hometown.
