One possible version:
Obviously, the cabin was quite tiny, so it was impossible to leave each other alone.Megan sat
in one chair, trying to read and Elaine sat in another, singing song after song. When Elaine’s Dad
noticed the strange atmosphere, he chose to figure out what had happened. He thought of the
expression “too much of a good thing”, and explained that one piece of cake tastes delicious, but
10 is too much.
Thanks to the expression “too much of a good thing” from Elaine’ s Dad, things got better.
Elaine and Megan are still great friends. They realize that even best friends need to give each other
some space when they need it. What’s more, good friends need to show respect and patience. In
this way, it will be easier to understand each other and maintain their friendship.
