Antarctica(南极洲) is Earth’s southernmost and coldest continent. It is home to lovely penguins. Penguins are birds in black and white. They look funny when they are walking. But unlike most birds, penguins are not able to fly in the air. Penguins spend as much as 75% of their time underwater, looking for food.

Blind Box Pets Craze(盲盒宠物潮)
Blind box toys have become very popular recently in China. For many young people, they don’t know what is inside the box until they open it. This adds more surprise and fun to their buying experience. More and more companies start selling their goods(商品) in blind boxes.
On May 3, 160 little dogs and cats were found inside a van(厢式货车) at a delivery station(快递站点) in Chengdu. Like other goods, they were packed in boxes to be sent to different places through the post.
According to the Chengdu Aizhijia Animal Rescue Center, when volunteers found those animals, four of them were dead and many were sick. All of them were under three months old.
In fact, the sale of blind box pets is nothing new. On Taobao and Pinduoduo, some live animals were being sold for prices as low as 9.9 yuan. Lots of animals on sale died on their way to their buyers or within weeks after arriving. As a rule set by those pet shops, buyers cannot return whatever they get because that is how blind boxes work. So if the buyer gets a dead cat in the post, that's bad luck!
The delivery company, ZTO(中通快递), has said sorry on Weibo for collecting live animals from sellers for delivery, yet public anger is not cooling down. Wonder, by United States writer R. J. Palacio, is a powerful story of change.
August Pullman was born with a different face. When he first started school at 10, everyone made fun of him. The story shows all the ups and downs(起伏) August faces at his new school. Students often bully(欺负) him for not looking normal. But at the same time, he makes true friends there and even wins a prize at his graduation ceremony.
This book has touched my heart. It’s not a fairy tale --- life isn’t one. Instead, the story is very realistic, as it shows things that could really happen in a middle school.
I also like this book because it’s told from different points of view(视角). Along with August, we get information showing other characters’ points of view, including his sister. This gives readers a chance to understand different characters’ feelings and thoughts.

We all experience ups and downs, but like August, we’ve all won. This book has also changed my views toward life.
