学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: Unit Six has the topic of "every day activities", and the Unit Seven has the topic of "the weather". And the learning points in these two units include "wh- questions", "Yes/ No questions", "present progressive tense", and other points implicated in the text. The students are expected to talk about what people are doing and describe the weather after the relearning. Student Analysis: It's sure to know that almost all the students can describe the weather and what people are doing by using present progressive tense correctly, but what seems difficult for them are the other language points and how to describe the "time markers" of present progressive tense.

Ⅰ. Warm-Up Pre-teach 【2-8min】 Lead-in 【0-5min】 1. Ask the students to read the word list of Unit Six- Seven together, along with the part of speech of the vocabulary. 2. Hand out the vocabulary test sheets and ask them to finish them within five minutes. Inquire whether the students have problems with the preview assignment, if yes, solve their problems by asking for other students' help. 1. Read the vocabulary of Units Six-Seven aloud, both in English and Chinese once to have both a reviewand and a and a preview for the following test. 2. Take the vocabulary test carefully and try to make them all right, and hand them in after five minutes. If one has questions, raise one's questions in the class If one knows the answers to other students' questions, compete to help the other students.
Ⅱ. Presentation Teaching and learning content 【15-20min】 Teach the students the main grammar and language points, and present them on PPT along with some questions for thinking training and consolidation. Ⅲ. Practice exercises for consolidation【6min】 Show the relevant exercises to the students and have them finish the exercises within five minutes. Then check the answers one by one by asking some of the students to explain their answers and reasons. Do the exercises as quickly as and carefully as possible, and write down one's answers on the draft paper, and then show it to the teacher within the limit time Volunteer to present one's answers and explain "why" if one is sure about one's results.
