An unforgettable festival experience
Among traditional Chinese festivals, the Mid-Autumn Festival has always held a special place in my heart, especially the last one.
On that night, my parents and I planned to make our own Kongming lantern and fly it into the sky. To prepare for it, my mom bought materials online ahead of time, and my father was responsible for putting thing together according to the instructions. Finally , I wrote down our wishes on the lantern. When everything was ready, we couldn’t wait to go outside. When the lantern with our wishes flew away, my heart was full of happiness.
The festival experience made me realize the importance of family and inspired me to spend more time with my family.

An unforgettable festival experience
As we all know, the Double Ninth Festival takes place on the 9th lunar month. But it was only las year that I learned the true meaning of the festival.
My parents and I hadn’t returned to my hometown for three years, and I hadn’t seen my grandparents in person for long. When the festival fell last year, my parents took me to climb a small hill. My father taught me to recognize dogwood and we picked some while climbing. On the top of the hill, the scene was so beautiful that I was eager to share it with my grandparents. When I spoke to them by video call, I couldn’t help crying . I showed the the dogwood and wished them all the best.
Through the festival, I developed a deeper understanding of the festival.
