学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: The topic of Unit Three is talking about "personal traits" by comparing people, and that of Unit Four is "discussing preferences", also by making comparison. And the main learning points of these two units are "comparative and superlative" as well as other regular and irregular forms. Student Analysis: There is no doubt that the students can make simple comparison by using simple forms of comparative and superlative, but it's obvious that they always make mistakes when it's just a little more difficult.

Ⅰ. Warm-Up Pre-teach 【2-8min】 Lead-in 【0-5min】 Lead the students to read the word lists of Unit Three and Four once together. To have a vocabulary test, hand out the test sheets to the students and ask them to finish the test within five minutes. Inquire weather the students have problems with their homework from last period, if yes, ask other students to help them to solve the problems. To get a review of the testing, vocabulary, read them aloud in both English and Chinese carefully. Concentrate on taking the vocabulary test and try to make them all right, then hand them in to the teacher after the limited time is over. Raise hands to ask questions if one has. If not, volunteer to answer the questions from other students when one knows the answers.
Ⅱ. Presentation Teaching and learning content 【15-20min】 Show the learning points on PPT one by one for the students to relearn, along with some training questions for the students to consolidate their mastering. Concentrate on learning the grammar and language points and take careful notes if one think it is needed. Try to answer the questions actively.

Ⅲ. Practice exercises for consolidation【6min】 Present the relevant exercises to the students and ask them to finish the exercises within five minutes. Then check the answers all together. Take notes if necessary.
