except for 除......之外
except、except for与besides的区别：
a. besides意为“除了……还有”，有包含在内的关系。
例：Three teachers have gone to Beijing , besides Mr. Li.
除了李老师还有三个老师去了北京。（共有4个老师去了）
Besides noodles, he ate some eggs.
除了面条，他还吃了一些鸡蛋。（吃了面条＋鸡蛋）
b. except, except for意为“除了……之外，不包含在内”；
但except通常指所排除的人或物不在所述范围之内，属于排除关系;
而except for表示在说明整个情况后，对细节加以纠正，用于引出使某陈述不能完全成立的事物，属于修正关系。
①except后接的宾语是与主语同类事物或行为
例：The members are all girls except Jim. 除了Jim，所有成员都是女孩子。
All the students’ compositions are good except John’s.
除了约翰的，所有学生的作文都好。
②except for 后接的宾语与主语非同类。
例：He is a good boy except for his carelessness.
除了他的粗心，他是个好男孩。
His article is excellent except for some spelling mistakes.
他的文章写得很好，除了一些拼写错误。
选用except，except for或besides填空。
