学情教材分析 Textbook Analysis: This review part only includes Unit Five of Eight B, because of it's special learning content: the past progressive tense. For the students, this tense always confuses them, what's more, there are also other learning points the students need to pay attention to. Student Analysis: Just as pointed out above, the students may haven't mastered the past progressive tense, so there is necessity for them to have an intensive learning again.
核心素养目标 Linguistic Competence： 1. To review and to totally master the words, phrases and sentences. 2. Be able to use the key language points in the correct ways. Cultural Awareness： Sometimes it's very important for people to remember things happened in the past, since they have a big influence to the history and people's life. Thinking Quality： One can make it out how to put the language points into one's practical use. Learning Capacity: Be able to use the past progressive tense to describe things happened in the past in one's own life.

Ⅰ. Warm-Up Pre-teach 【2-8min】 Lead-in 【0-5min】 To have a preview for the following vocabulary test, ask the students to read the word list of Unit Five together. Give out the test papers to the students and ask them to finish the test within five minutes. Inquire if the students have any questions about their homework, if yes, help them to solve the problems. Read the words and phrases of Unit Five together with other students aloud in English once and then translate them into plete the test papers as quickly as possible, and then hand them in after the time limit is over. Raise questions if one has and volunteer to help solve other students' problems if one knows the answers.
Ⅱ. Presentation Teaching and learning content 【15-20min】 Show the key language points on PPT and teach the students one by one, along with some questions for thinking training and consolidating. Learn the language points carefully and take notes when one finds it necessary and try to answer the teacher's questions.

Ⅲ. Practice exercises for consolidation【6min】 Present the students some relevant exercises on PPT and ask them to finish the exercise within five minutes. After that check the answers one by plete the exercises carefully enough and write down one answers on the draft paper, then show it to the teacher as soon as possible. Check on one's answers and revise one's mistakes if there is any.
Ⅳ. Promotion Summary 【5min】 Have several students to summarize the learning content of this lesson, either by recalling or by answering the teacher's questions. Volunteer to make a summary for this period by recalling the teaching points or by answering the questions from the teacher.
