How do you understand the quote
The quote is from Mohandas Gandhi’s autobiography, The Story of My Experiments with Truth. It means that the future is not set — we can change what has already happened through our present actions.
Mohandas Gandhi (1869-1948) was an Indian statesman and activist. He is referred to with the title “Mahatma”, meaning “Great Soul”.

You need to be honest, and there are no right or wrong answers.

3:How is the career aptitude test introduced in the text
Participants grade their preferences for a variety of work tasks.
The answers are analysed and divided up between six different types of work personalities.
The participant is given a chart showing their score for each type of work personality.
The code is used to generate oa list of career suggestions.
The top three scores are used to make a code that indicates the participant’s overall work personality.
Cultural Note
The chart at the top of Page 51 is based on Holland Codes (霍兰德职业兴趣代码), also called Holland Occupational Themes.
The example test on Page 50 is adapted from an online test used by the US Department of Labour to help people find their Holland Codes, which were developed by an American psychologist, John L. Holland (1919-2008) in 1959.
How does the career aptitude test work
Cultural Note
You can take a test online or at a career guidance centre to find your individual Holland Code, which will be three letters showing your preferences for the kind of work you want to do.
Your Holland Code can then be matched to specific jobs. This, when combined with your interests, should in theory give you a good idea of what career you should choose.

How to read charts and graphs

Chart and graphs are a great way to convey a wide rang of information in a limited space.To understand them, first read the title and then the labels on the edges of the chart(often called the x-axis,y-axis,and the key/legend)
Look at these jobs and then decide on which work personality type they most closely relate to. Add more jobs to each category.

The secret to a good career is find something that you are passionate about.

For example, a person may be passionate about singing, but lack the talent for it or the ability to turn it into a career. It might be better to find something that he or she is good at and can be successful at, and pursue it instead, as that way he or she can at least earn an income. People can still pursue their passions as hobbies.
