Lesson 5: Another Stop along the Silk Road
设计说明 首先,老师将本单元前面的学习情况引入到本课节的学习，带领学生学习本课词汇后，通过练习进行进一步的巩固；然后，通过播放对话录音判断正误和听录音跟读初步了解对话内容；接着，通过读对话回答问题和利用Let’s Do It!中的练习题进一步掌握对话内容并进行巩固;之后鼓励学生根据游览情况续写本课的对话。最后讲解本课的重要知识点并通过当堂达标进行检测。本节课从多个角度、多种形式上对本课的语言知识进行练习，从而达到教学目的，实现教学目标。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学，学生达成以下目标： 1.知识目标 掌握单词：another, main, sand, believe, sir, safe, fall 接触单词：amazing, cave, camel, onto, yay 短语和句型：take a tour, be famous as, on one’s way to, fall off, all right It’s famous as the City of Sands. They find a camel man on their way to Mingsha Mountain. 2.能力目标 (1)能熟练地运用本课所学的知识点; (2)能用简单的英语谈论生活中有关游览的话题。 3.情感目标 通过对敦煌的了解，培养学生热爱大自然的美好情感。 重点难点 1.重点：掌握本课单词、短语及重点句型。 2.难点：能用简单的英语谈论生活中有关旅游的话题。 教学准备 PPT 课件；本课节用到的录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1　Lead-in T: Boys and girls, we have travelled a lot along the Silk Road. We visited Xi’an and Lanzhou, and you must have enjoyed visiting those amazing places. But we are still on the way. Do you want to know more Ss: Yes. T: OK. Today let’s go to the City of Sands. Did you hear of Dunhuang What do you know about it What’s the places of interest in Dunhuang Do you want to take a trip to Dunhuang (1minute to discuss) OK! Today we will know another stop along the Silk Road and learn more about Dunhuang. Then show some pictures about Dunhuang to students. Step 2　Presentation 1.Teach students to learn about the new words. another / n / adj. 另外的；又一 pron. 另一个 amazing / me z / adj. 惊奇的；惊人的 main /me n/ adj. 主要的 sand /s nd/ n. 沙；沙地 believe /b li v/ v. 相信 sir /s / n. 先生；老师 safe /se f/ adj. 安全的 fall /f l/ v. 落下，跌倒 2. It’s one of the main stops on the Silk Road. 它是丝绸之路上主要站点之一。 one of + n. (复数) 意为 “……之一”。 Xi’an is one of the cities in China. 西安是中国众多城市之一。 3. It’s famous as the City of Sands. 它作为沙城而闻名。 【辨析】be famous as，be famous for与be famous to 短语释义用法例句be famous as 作为……而闻名as后面接表示职位、 名称等的词，与be known as同义Lu Xun is famous as a writer.鲁迅作为一名作家而闻名。be famous for因为……而出名for后面接出名的原因，与be known for 同义This place is famous for its cotton. 此地因棉花而出名。be famous to被……所熟知后面接人, 与be known to同义This singer is famous to lots of old people. 这位歌手被很多老人所熟知。
4.
