2022年全国甲卷原题(难度0.65)
As Ginni Bazlinton reached Antarctica, she found herself greeted by a group of little Gentoo penguins (企鹅) longing to say hello. These gentle, lovely gatekeepers welcomed her and kick-started what was to be a trip Ginni would never forget.
Ever since her childhood, Ginni, now 71, has had a deep love for travel. Throughout her career (职业) as a professional dancer, she toured in the UK, but always longed to explore further. When she retired from dancing and her sons eventually flew the nest, she decided it was time to take the plunge.
After taking a degree at Chichester University in Related Arts, Ginni began to travel the world, eventually getting work teaching English in Japan and Chile. And it was in Chile she discovered she could get last-minute cheap deals on ships going to Antarctica from the islands off Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost tip of the South American mainland. “I just decided I wanted to go,” she says. “I had no idea about what I’d find there and I wasn’t nervous, I just wanted to do it. And I wanted to do it alone as I always prefer it that way.”
In March 2008, Ginni boarded a ship with 48 passengers she’d never met before, to begin the journey towards Antarctica. “From seeing the wildlife to witnessing sunrises, the whole experience was amazing. Antarctica left an impression on me that no other place has,” Ginni says. “I remember the first time I saw a humpback whale; it just rose out of the water like some prehistoric creature and I thought it was smiling at us. You could still hear the operatic sounds it was making underwater.”
The realization that this is a precious land, to be respected by humans, was one of the biggest things that hit home to Ginni.
1.Which of the following best explains “take the plunge” underlined in paragraph 2
A.Try challenging things. B.Take a degree.

由此可知,An unforgettable experience. (一次难忘的经历) 能够概括文章主旨。故选B。

(2023·河南·校联考一模)Here are some beautiful classic road-tripping routes in California.
Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)
There are wonderful options including dramatic sea cliffs, sun-soaked surfing towns, playful harbor seals and the Golden Gate Bridge. You’d better avoid driving here in the spring and summer months, when the central and northern coastline can be socked in by fog and the rainy season can lead to landslides. Instead, September and October will yield the sunniest skies and some of the best weather as you spend a week checking this beauty off your bucket list.
Highway 49 (Hwy 49)
That highway number is significant: It is in memory of the 49 people who came seeking for fortune in California’s original Gold Rush. Today the route winds through Gold Country towns such as Placerville and Nevada City, past ghostly Old West mines and Victorian buildings. Hwy 49 comes mighty close to Yosemite National Park (15 miles) and Lake Tahoe (75 miles), both of which are good places for family camping.
Route 66
Enjoy your trip on America’s “Mother Road”, which brought Dust Bowl refugees, Holly-wood starlets and hippies to California. Drive slowly from the desert to the Pacific Ocean, pulling up alongside retro relics, sleeping in a tipi hotel and fueling up in neon-lit diners. Avenue of the Giants
The incredible 32-mile road at Humboldt Redwoods State Park is canopied by the world’s tallest trees. It’s one of the most justifiably celebrated drives in California. The best time is in the morning when sunlight glints off dew-drenched ferns. Among the majestic (壮观的) woods along the Avenue, there is an interesting four-sided hearth, designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan. Walking trails wind through all the woods for proper tree-hugging.
1.Why should we avoid driving on the PCH in spring and summer
A.It is too hot. B.It can be windy.
C.It may be dangerous. D.It is too crowded.
2.Which road is used to honour people looking for fortune in Gold Rush with its name
A.Pacific Coast Highway. B.Highway 49.
C.Route 66. D.Avenue of the Giants.
3.What is the purpose of the walking trails in the majestic woods
A.To make people hug trees easily. B.To attract more people to camp there.
C.To make visitors walk around randomly. D.To help people plant trees more conveniently.
【答案】1.C 2.B 3.A

2.细节理解题。根据第三段第一句“That highway number is significant: It is in memory of the 49 people who came seeking for fortune in California’s original Gold Rush. (这个高速公路的数字意义重大:它是为了纪念在加州最初的淘金热中前来淘金的49人)”可知,Highway 49的命名是为了纪念最早在加州淘金的49人。故选B。

(2022·天津·天津五十七中校考模拟预测)In March 2020, when I stood alone in the middle of the main road to the Lake District, it felt like the end of the world. As a local farmer, I’ve grown used to the heavy traffic. But suddenly, everything changed. The lockdown brought quietness to the area, and I did feel a sense of relief to be done with the noise for a while.
Just off the main road is Matterdale, where I live with my family. We own a farm and our work focuses on tending farm animals. Like many who live in tourist attractions, we have been annoyed by some visitors. My farming would have been significantly easier without people parking in gateways, walking through the fields of lambs with loose dogs scaring them, or abandoning their tents along the river.
Despite my complaints, however, I would never reject visitors’ presence. I do understand their need for rest after months of urban life. In fact, I think I need them too. Of course, communities like ours rely on the income that tourism creates. But to me, there is something more personal. I once took my kids to the lake. Near the shore, we saw boys and girls playing together. A young dad was holding his kid’s hand as she tiptoed through the shallows. An elderly couple were sitting in the shade, admiring the view. I found myself content knowing that I was sharing this landscape with others.
As lockdown restrictions have relaxed and visitors started to come back, I wonder how we can coexist happily. For those who are reading this, I hope that my words can encourage you to respect the communities you visit, and understand the responsibilities that come with visiting those places. Our love can coexist, even if it sometimes makes life a little crowded.
1.What did the author think about the visitor-free Lake District
A.Boring. B.Peaceful. C.Interesting. D.Disappointing.
2.Why was the author annoyed by some visitors

C.They caused damage to his farm. D.They brought inconvenience to his work.
3.What is the main reason that the author never rejected visitors
A.To earn more money. B.To meet new people in his life.
C.To share the beauty of the land. D.To let more people love his farm.
4.What is the main purpose of the text
A.To advocate for responsible traveling.
B.To complain about tourism and travelers.
C.To suggest ways of supporting local communities.
D.To show the relationship between farmers and tourists.
【答案】1.B 2.C 3.C 4.A

2.推理判断题。根据第二段中“Like many who live in tourist attractions, we have been annoyed by some visitors. 3.推理判断题。根据第三段中“Despite my complaints, however, I would never reject visitors’ presence. I do understand their need for rest after months of urban life. In fact, I think I need them too. Of course, communities like ours rely on the income that tourism creates. (2022春·江西景德镇·高一景德镇一中校考期中)When Amanda Lemay heard the story about a baker and her husband who were traveling around the United States in a van (厢式货车), learning from expert bakers, she wanted to do something similar. So she got rid of most of her possessions and made an old ambulance with her dad into a lovely home on wheels.
Lemay’s ambulance is actually a former emergency response vehicle for the US Navy, built on a 2006 Ford E350 Cutaway. Renovations (翻新) were done by her and her dad. Now the dark blue vehicle has a lot of built-in cabinets on all sides, offering a lot of storage space, while the roof top has 400-watts of solar power panels and a small roof deck where Lemay practices Yoga. The inside is tastefully done to suit Lemay’s work and hobbies.
As Lemay mentions, not only did her father help, but also the rest of her family. Lemay’s mother helped sew the decorations on the removable cushions, and her sister crafted the leather pulls. It was truly a family affair.
Her current nomadic (流浪式的) lifestyle fits well with her work doing audio books, voiceovers, and publishing work. In the end, this unexpected path has Lemay rethinking what it means to be truly sustainable (可持续的), now that van life has gotten her to become minutely aware of the water, electricity, and other daily resources that she uses. But all these day-to-day concerns are balanced with a greater sense of freedom.
“It’s almost mind-blowing, it feels like a completely different life because I’m doing the work online, and I can do things on my own schedule. Most of my days are mine — so by living in the van. I can be where I want to be, and do the things I want to do, and spend time outside.”
1.Why is the story of a baker and her husband mentioned in paragraph 1
A.It shows a creative way of learning. B.It was spoken highly of by expert bakers.
C.It’s an example of strong determination. D.It’s where Amanda Lemay got her inspiration.
2.Why was the renovation a family affair
A.All family members contributed to it. B.Its cost was shared by family members.
C.It was made to suit the life of the family. D.The whole family gathered to celebrate it.
3.What has Lemay learned from her nomadic lifestyle
A.To value every minute of her life. B.To make full use of what she has.
C.To keep a balance between work and life. D.To be aware of the real meaning of family.
4.What does Lemay like about living in a van
A.Reflecting on life. B.Forgetting all about work.
C.Living at her own pace. D.Being free from day-to-day concerns.

(2023·江苏·模拟预测)The MacDowell Colony is one of the oldest and best known artist colonies in the country, located on 450 acres in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. MacDowell’s mission (使命) is to nurture the arts by offering talented individuals an inspiring residential environment to produce enduring works of creative imagination.
MacDowell’s operations are funded by foundations, corporations and individuals. Writers, composers, photographers, filmmakers and sculptors — both famous and unknown — compete for the 32 free studios at the place. Once accepted, an artist can stay for as short as a couple of weeks, or as long as a couple of months.
When they arrive, artists find a kind of isolation (隔绝) hard to find in our world. There’s no phone. No fax. No friends. No family. It’s just a cabin in the snowy woods.
Writer Emily Raboteau lives in New York City. She came to MacDowell to work on a novel. She received a desk, chairs, pencil and paper. Another colony resident, Belfast composer Elaine Agnew, plays a piece called To a Wild Rose, written by Edward MacDowell. She says it’s so famous that every pianist in the world has played the tune. A hundred years ago, MacDowell owned the land where the colony no sits. He liked its isolation and his ability to get work done there. After his death, his wife, Marion, encouraged other artists to come.
And for the last century, artists have accepted the invitation, coming to step outside of their daily lives for a short time. Privacy is respected, but cooperation and discussion is common.
Screenwriter Kit Carson—who wrote Teras Chainsaw Massacre 2 and the film adaptation of Sam Shepberd’s play Paris, Terus-has visited MacDowell twice. He says that the interdisciplinary (学科间的) discussion there is valuable.
“You sit around at dinner, talking, and then somebody runs off and brings you back some stuff and shows it to you,” he says. “That, I didn’t realize, was part of the magic here because people are really open to show their opinions.”

(2022·江西九江·统考三模)I was truly delighted by the beauty that I enjoyed when I came to this country. My journey started when I was in my senior year at the University of Ottawa. As a health science major, I’d always planned on just applying to medical schools and continuing my studies in some fashion or another country.
After four years of intense studies, something just didn’t feel right. I felt a strong urge to make a change. It was 2008. I began searching for alternatives to what most university graduates see as their two options: enter the workforce, or continue studying.
But I knew I wanted something completely different. I didn’t have money to travel, but I was searching for an idea that could allow me to leave whenever I want. Despite never having left my country, I felt the urge to explore.
I spent my final few months as a student researching all of my options and soon had made up my mind that I was going to teach English in a foreign country. Quickly I was able to narrow down the options to either Japan, South Korea, or China.
Finally, I set China as my destination. The moment I set foot on this magical land, my eyes were opened, and my mind transformed. This was the beginning of a new lifestyle for me. The culture shock was real, but at the same time, it could get people back on their feet. I spent the next few years studying everything under the sun about marketing, online business creation, and sales.
Fast forward a few years, and that site has grown enough to fund my travels. Therefore, I decide I never look back, and I’m determined to start a new life on this land.

(2022·上海·复旦附中校考模拟预测)It could have been anywhere, my first intentionally photo-free journey, but it just happened to be Ethiopia. Photographic equipment can be a great physical burden. It may weigh anything from a few hundred grams to several kilos, depending on how seriously one approaches the business of picture-taking. Yet the real burden of photography is mental, not physical; it is the feeling of needing to take photographs, that because you have a camera you must use it.
In the first few days of camera-less travel, there are certainly moments of frustration at letting one great photograph after another go past, but having no camera, and thus being unable to take photographs, surprisingly soon stops the urge to do so. Very quickly, scenes become appreciated for what they are, rather than for the photographs they would have made.
Climbing up the western wall of the Great Rift Valley, on the way to the capital, Addis Ababa, the road emerges from a tunnel onto open, grassy plains — a small piece of uncharacteristically undomesticated countryside, with an even more uncharacteristic population of wild animals. They looked magnificent in the tearing wind, and through binoculars (双筒望远镜) they could be absorbed at leisure — theirs and mine. And thus unseen, I watched them play, free from concerns as to how close I could risk going with my camera without losing the very moment I sought to capture.
Exciting though stalking (跟踪) wild creatures can be, the photographer must obviously stalk as much out of sight as possible, thus being denied any chance of actually watching them. The photographer’s mind is effectively stopped from experiencing any more than the photographic possibilities of the scene. At eye level, the camera not only creates a physical barrier but also isolates the photographer from the joyful reality of the subject, and from everywhere else around them too. Then comes the climax, the press of the button, the pull of the trigger (快门), before more stalking, more photographs and, inevitably, the stalking too far which frightens the animals to flight. The difference between looking in order to photograph and actually seeing what is there is never more distinct than when taking pictures of animals, to the extent that the two become almost mutually exclusive. There is time only for deciding the best way to take the photograph, before addressing more practical technicalities — how to keep the minibus’s wheel out of the shot of lions, or get enough depth of field so all the flamingos (火烈鸟) on the lake are in focus at once.
1.According to the first paragraph, what is the main problem that photographers face while travelling
A.Moving their heavy equipment about
B.Locating places to purchase batteries.
C.Trying to get the best possible shots.
D.Being under pressure to take photographs.
2.The writer suggests in the second paragraph that people who choose to leave their cameras at home ________.
A.conclude that the decision was unrealistic
B.rapidly lose the desire to take any photographs
C.come to consider previous trips as unsatisfactory
D.appreciate the excellence of other people’s photos
3.What does the writer suggest about the animals he sees
A.They were too far away to be usefully observed.
B.They were surprisingly unaffected by the closeness of humans.
C.They might have been enjoying the situation for more than he was.
D.They might have become alarmed by the presence of a photographer.
4.The writer questions the value of stalking animals because a photographer ________.
A.can cause the animals to behave aggressively towards people
B.may become too uncomfortable to take reasonable shots
C.may not be able to appreciate the situation fully
D.can easily become distracted from his task
根据第一段的句子“Yet the real burden of photography is mental, not physical; it is the feeling of needing to take photographs, because you have a camera you must use it.”(然而,摄影的真正负担是精神上的,而不是身体上的;它是一种需要拍照的感觉,因为你有相机,所以你就想着必须使用它。)可知,旅行中,如果你带着相机,你就会想着去拍照,这就会给你带来一种精神上的压力。故选D项。
2.细节理解题。根据第二段的句子“In the first few days of camera-less travel, there are certainly moments of frustration at letting one great photograph after another go past, but having no camera, and thus being unable to take photographs, surprisingly soon stops the urge to do so." (在没有相机的旅行的最初几天,你肯定会因为错过一-张又- -张的好照片而感到沮丧,但没有相机,因此无法拍照,令人惊讶的是,很快你就会停止拍照的冲动。)可知,旅行中,如果你不带相机,最初你可能会因为错过一些好
照片而沮丧,但是很快你就没有拍照的冲动了。故选B项。
3.推理判断题。根据第三段的句子“And thus unseen, I watched them play, free from concerns as to how close I could risk going with my camera without losing the very moment I sought to capture." (因此,在看不见的情况下,我看着它们玩耍,不用担心我和它们的距离和因为带着相机而不想丢失我想要捕捉的那一刻。)和第四段的句子“Then comes the climax, the press of the button, the pull of the trigger, before more stalking, more photographs and, inevitably, the stalking too far which frightens the animals to flight." (然后高潮来了,按下的按钮,触发快门,然后是更多的跟踪,拍更多的照片,不可避免的是,跟踪会吓跑动物。)可知,当人们不跟拍动物时,就不用担心和动物的距离,而跟拍动物,就可能把动物吓跑。故选D项。
4.推理判断题。根据最好一段的句子“Exciting though stalking wild creatures can be, the photographer must obviously stalk as much out of sight as possible, thus being denied any chance of actually watching them." (尽管跟踪野生动物令人激动,但摄影师必须尽可能在动物看不到的地方,这样就失去了仔细观察它们的机会。) 和"There is time only for deciding the best way to take the photograph, before addressing more practical technicalities一how to keep the minibus's wheel out of the shot of lions, or get enough depth of field so all the flamingos on the lake are in focus at once." (先要处理好更多的技术细节一如何让狮子看不到你的面包车,或者是把车停到足够深处,以便拍到湖上所有的火烈鸟,然后只剩下时间决定用什么方法拍摄最好。)可知,跟踪动物拍摄时,摄影师要考虑很多因素,这样,他们可能会失去尽情欣赏这些动物和景色的机会。故选C项。

(2022·上海·上海市第二中学校考模拟预测)Better Holiday Pics, Without Using a Selfie Stick
If you find yourself vacationing in Budapest, Hungary, you could preserve travel memories by taking a few arm-length, low-quality cell phone selfies that will likely fail to capture the magic of your visit. Or you could hire someone like Dana J. Ardell, a Budapest-based professional photographer who knows photo spots you’ll never find in a guidebook and who can deliver stunning pictures — with your whole travel party in the shots.
Ardell is a photographer with Flytographer, one of a growing number of online services that help travelers find and hire a photographer to take pictures of them during a vacation.
“People who believe memories are the best souvenir” are among those who will find value in photo services, says Flytographer founder and CEO Nicole Smith.
Still, the cost could run a few hundred dollars, so be smart about whom you hire. Here’s what to know about hiring a pro to take pictures on your next vacation or bucket-list trip.
Why hire a photographer
Smartphone cameras are decent, but they don’t provide the same quality of pictures as a professional camera and lens. Plus, phone cameras aren’t usually operated by a skilled photographer who knows how to incorporate the best light and properly compose a shot and later edit the images.
If you plan to turn a vacation photo into a wall-worthy print, you’ll want something better than a cell phone snapshot. “Nobody’s going to blow up a blurry selfie with seven chins,” Smith says.
Photographers who live in your destination know where and when to shoot — when the light is most favorable and where you won’t be jostling with other tourists during busy times at landmarks.
Part of the benefit of hiring a trip photographer has nothing to do with photos — it’s interacting with a resident, gaining insight into how locals live. “We chat the whole time,” Ardell says. “I love giving recommendations on my favorite places to eat and things to do around the city.”
How to book a pro
You could do your own research to find someone in the place you’re visiting. But online booking services make hiring a photographer easier, especially if you’re going abroad and don’t speak the language. With many of the services, including Flytographer, Local Lens and local grapher, and you choose the city, then read biographies of local photographers, look at their portfolios and pick one.
According to Smith, an hour long session offers enough time for photos at a couple of locations and gives vacationers time to warm up in front of the camera. But a half-hour shoot can work for those tight on time or budget. Also remember to book early. Booking several weeks out means a wider selection of photographers, dates and times.
If you’ve taken fabulous journeys but your photos just don’t match, hiring a vacation photographer might be the ticket to preserving memories.
1.Which of the following about Flytographer is true
A.It is a Budapest-based professional photographer.
B.It’s an online service helping tourists find and hire professional photographers.
C.It’s an online shop that sells souvenirs.
D.It’s an internet-based vacation planning company.
2.Which is not a reason for hiring a professional trip photographer
A.Photographers take photos for you without crowding into popular sights.
B.Photographers are a reliable source of tourist information and local culture.
C.Hiring photographers with professional cameras and lens is value for your money.
D.Photographers help you preserve the best memories by producing quality photos.
3.What do the underlined words in the last paragraph most probably mean
A.Your photos fall victim to criticism on the internet.
B.Your photos are not taken as required by photographers.
C.You photos fail to capture the highlights of your journeys.
D.Your photos are not as competitive as those taken by others.

(智能手机的相机是不错的,但它们提供的图片质量不如专业相机和镜头。)”以及第二段“If you plan to turn a vacation photo into a wall-worthy print, you’ll want something better than a cell phone snapshot.(如果你打算把一张度假照片打印成值得挂到墙上的照片,你会想要比手机快照更好的东西)”可知,专业摄影师有专业的相机和镜头,拍的照片质量比智能手机的好,雇佣摄影师是值得的。第三段“Photographers who live in your destination know where and when to shoot — when the light is most favorable and where you won’t be jostling with other tourists during busy times at landmarks.(住在你目的地的摄影师知道在哪里和什么时候拍摄——什么时候光线最好,在繁忙的时候在地标建处,哪里不会和其他游客挤在一起。)”可知,专业摄影师了解当地的旅游讯息,能带你避开其他游客,去拍最好的风景。第四段“Part of the benefit of hiring a trip photographer has nothing to do with photos — it’s interacting with a resident, gaining insight into how locals live.

A.They polluted the water. B.They scared his dogs away.

(2023·天津红桥·统考一模)Biking is an amazing family activity, but finding a route that can accommodate a wide-range of ages can be a challenge.
Lee McNeil and his family are crazy about biking. They have seven children, from 4 to 24 years old. When looking for a route, they look for enough protection from traffic, good surface condition, easy access and interesting views.
With that in mind, here are some great routes for biking with your whole family, as are suggested by McNeil.
Iron Horse Trail
This is the McNeil family’s favourite ride. The route is 26 miles and goes through the 2.1mile Snoqualmie Tunnel.
“Beautiful views, the thrill the tunnel, and places to stop and watch the rock climbers make it special,” McNeil said. “All our kids have taken their turn at braving the black tunnel bravely for the first time, which we celebrate it at the end of the ride.”
How to get there: If you prefer, check http://bit.ly/Mlt9y4 for more information.
Centennial Trail
The Centennial Trail runs for 23 miles from Snohomish to Bryant. The trail is wide and smooth, and is safe for kids as it is off the roads. A nice stop is Lake Cassidy east of Marysville. A dock on the lake is fun to explore. It also has picnic tables and washrooms for a convenient lunch time stop.
How to get there: The trail can be accessed from a number of trailheads. For a map, go to http://bit.ly/L5qCeY.
Cascade Trail
The Cascade Trail follows an abandoned Burlington Northern railroad grade for 23 miles between Sedro-Woolley and Concrete. Because it’s on a railroad grade, the slope is gentle and it makes for an easy family ride.
McNeil said it is a “beautiful ride up the Skagit Valley, with lots of places to watch wildlife along the river.”
How to get there: Go to http://bit.ly/PR4wOW to see a map showing the trail, parking areas and bus stops .

2.Why was the renovation a family affair
A.All family members contributed to it. B.Its cost was shared by family members.

A.It is a Budapest-based professional photographer.
B.It’s an online service helping tourists find and hire professional photographers.
