阅读下面材料, 根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段, 使之构成一篇完整的短文。
After Justin Gordon came back from his last delivery, the kitchen was clean and empty and the lights were off. He was changing his clothes when the restaurant’s landline rang. He wasn’t supposed to answer the phone, but he was afraid it might be his boss, Mr. Kelso. So he picked up the phone and said, “Gourmet Restaurant, may I help you ” An old woman’s voice was on the other side, “I’m so glad you’re still open! I’ve just returned from a long trip and I have no food in the house. I really want to order some dinner!” Justin hesitated for a moment, then he wrote down the woman’s name and address and headed for the kitchen.
Fortunately, Justin was an excellent cook. In fact, his late father was a good chef and his dream was to become another, but he couldn’t afford to enter the Culinary Academy(烹饪学院).
The food was ready soon. He wouldn’t have time to clean up the kitchen if he was to de- liver the food quickly. So he decided to come into work early the next morning. He jumped onto his motorbike and headed for the customer’s address.
A woman in a wheelchair answered the door. “Good evening, Madam, this is a special delivery from Gourmet Restaurant. It is free of charge!” Justin said.
Early the next morning, the first thing for Justin was to clean up the kitchen.
He had nearly finished when Mr. Kelso walked in. “You’re not the chef! You’re allowed in the kitchen only if it’s to pick up deliveries!” he screamed, “you acted against the rule! YOU’RE FIRED!” Justin was close to tears, but he knew that he had broken the rule. There was nothing he could say more.
Mr. Kelso was extremely angry. When he went to dinner at his mother’s that evening, he told her all about it. “Some woman phoned in an order after hours, and he left the kitchen in chaos!” he scoffed, “can you believe it ”
“Yes,” his mother said, “I phoned him, son.”

Shocked, he read further and learned the girl had left home and disappeared a day before. Her parents were anxious, trying to find her.
Jeffrey’s back went cold. This girl was missing, and he had just kicked her out of the bus. “What have I done ” he said to himself. Immediately, he stood up and went to the front door, putting his shoes on hurriedly. “Where are you going ” Greta asked, coming out of the kitchen.
“Quick! Call 911 and this number,” Jeffrey said, showing her the picture of the girl on his phone. “I saw this girl at a bus stop earlier, but I turned her away because she didn’t have enough money. I’m going to find her.” “OK, which bus stop exactly ” she asked, and he explained. Greta then called the police and the girl’s parents immediately.

One of my leachers once asked my class what our favorite memory was. I truly believed that we would forever be apart, two housemates without conversation, two strangers without warmth.
I still remember the day I learned to ride a bike. I had received the bike that Christmas, which was great, until I realized that I had no idea how to ride it. My mom had long abandoned any attempt to teach me. I had proven to be a frustrating student. I took it upon myself to learn, a little bit each day. It was no different. I was coming to the end of my daily one-hour torture(折磨). I was so frustrated that I threw my bike aside and began to cry.

After she let out my secret, everyone at school started laughing at me and gazing at me whenever I passed. I was like a pond in which someone had thrown a stone and it had been spilled up. Soon afterwards, I left school and shifted to another one, because I couldn’t bear the pain any more. Sally called me many times. However, I didn’t answer and deleted all her contact information. My heart was broken because the person whom I trusted most cheated me.
I made efforts to remove the scar from my heart. I started a new life, leaving all the bad memories behind, because they made me a person who often thought about the past experiences. Five years later, with the life going on, I made new friends and seldom thought about the past.

Jane rose at the break of day, hungry and thirsty. She could hear water trickling (滴落) somewhere at a distance. Quickly she followed the sound to a stream. To her great joy, she also saw some berry bushes. She drank and ate a few berries. Never in her life had she tasted anything better.
Feeling stronger now, Jane began to walk along the stream and hope it would lead her to' the lake.

She was so hungry that she placed an order even though she knew the kitchen was closed. But the food the young man delivered was a lot better than what the current chef cooked. In addition, he wouldn’t let her pay for the dinner. Mr. Kelso apologized to his mother for forgetting to do some shopping for her.
Mr. Kelso managed to find Justin and invite him to lunch at Gourmet Restaurant. Justin was astonished to see his former boss on his doorstep the next day. That day, Mr. Kelso and Justin had a lovely lunch. He asked Justin where he had learned to cook. Justin explained his father had been a chef and he learned cooking from his father. Mr. Kelso smiled and said that his mother loved the food Justin had cooked for her, and Gourmet Restaurant was taking him back as a part-time assistant chef on the weekends, what’s more, he would pay for his tuition at the Culinary Academy starting next semester!

Jeffrey anxiously rushed to his car and started the engine. Jeffrey set out for the bus station where he had kicked the girl out of the bus, hoping that the girl was still there. He sped up all the way, keeping an eye on the pedestrians on both sides of the road. Just within 15 minutes, he arrived at the bus station. Then in sight was the girl, still sitting there, weeping. Hardly had the car stopped when Jeffrey ran to the girl.
Jeffrey then asked the girl gently, “Did you escape from your home Where were you going ”. Looking up at Jeffrey, the girl recognized that Jeffrey was the bus driver and said, “I want to visit my grandma.” “But you shouldn’t have left home without telling your parents. They are so worried about you,” Jeffrey said, “Now, let me drive you home.” The girl stood up and followed Jeffrey to his car. Just then, a police car arrived, followed by another car. Out of the car rushed the girl’s parents who had received a phone call from Jeffrey’s wife and knew that their daughter might be at the bus station. The girl’s mother embraced her daughter firmly and the father showed his gratitude to Jeffrey and the policeman.

I guess that was what caused my sister to come outside. At first, I was skeptical and tense, as I assumed that she would begin to tease me or at least burst out laughing. However, she did neither. I hunched my shoulders forward and turned my face away, tears trickling down my cheeks. She gently picked my bike up, uttering in a reassuring tone, “I can teach you how to ride.” Dumbstruck, I raised my head and stared at her in stunned silence. Next hours saw my sister steadily hold my bike when my feel faltered. She never once let me fall, patiently teaching me how to ride a bike.
“I made it,” I exclaimed with delight. A ripple of happiness bubbled up in my heart. I turned around, beaming a warm smile at my sister. She gave me an approving nod, eyes gleaming with amusement. That was the day I had a taste of what real sisterly intimacy could be like. For three hours, three wonderful, blissful hours, we learned to ride a bike, which was the perfect harmony I had longed for. We still occasionally have our random spats and bitter rivalries, but since that day, it has been easier to get along because I know my sister will be there for me when I need her.

But one day I happened to get the shocking truth from Sally, my former classmate. Helen said that after I left school the gossip gradually escaped everyone in our school, but it indeed posed a mental torture to Sally. And unexpectedly, I was told that Sally was not the one who brought my secret to light. Instead, it was Anna who had a big mouth and always wanted to spy on other people’s private affairs. She overheard my conversation with sally that day. Heart plunging, I was at sea, feeling that I was thunderstruck. Anxious and regretful, I asked Helen for any possible contact with Sally and I was given her old phone number she was still using.
I immediately called Sally in order to break up the misunderstanding. After getting through, I conveyed my genuine apology to her. She paused initially and then replied mildly, “Nothing matters as long as we remain close friends as before. Having received her forgiveness, I was in tears of guilt and relief, wishing the misunderstanding had not happened. I wished time could go back and I could fix my mistakes. It really dawned on me that a little mistake could spoil what we tirelessly constructed, but it was frank communication that served as a magic glue which restored what we truly treasured.

But no more helicopters came and it was getting dark again. Jane had to stay alone in the forest for another cold night. At that moment, she felt a little sad, but she wasn’t so frightened. She reminded herself constantly, “Tom must have called for those helicopters. Maybe he was in one of them and will return soon! I have to guide him tomorrow.” She fell asleep and dreamed of seeing Tom.
It was daybreak when Jane woke up. She ate some berries and then walked along the stream, hoping to find a suitable place to guide the helicopter. She walked and walked, exhausted but full of hope. Suddenly, she spotted a huge flat rock. She managed to climb onto it and waited with patience. The helicopter appeared again. The nearer it got, the more she waved the yellow blouse. To her great joy, the helicopter didn’t miss Jane this time and it landed near the big rock slowly. Tom jumped off the helicopter and rushed towards Jane. They hugged each other tightly and burst into tears.
