Do you sometimes wish it could be spring all year round Spring is nice, but we really need the other seasons too. Then why do we have seasons
The tilt (倾斜) of the Earth causes (引起) changes of seasons. We all know that it takes the Earth one year to travel around the Sun, and the Earth is always "pointing" to one side as it moves. At different times during the year, the North Pole (北极) is close to the Sun or far away from the Sun. When it is pointing toward the Sun, the sunlight is hitting the northern hemisphere (北半球) straight. Then for people in the northern part of the Earth, it is summer. Fix months later, the North Pole points far away from the Sun and winter arrives. In between these times of the year, spring and autumn come.
But not all places have four seasons. For example, countries near the equator (赤道) have mild seasons. The temperature is almost the same all year round.

New Zealand is beautiful no matter what time of the year or season you visit. The best time to visit New Zealand is the time that suits you best. The weather in New Zealand is fine all year round. The warmest months of the year are from September to April. December, January and February are the three hottest months of the year. It is summer. The long summer days are wonderful for water sports.
Spring is from September to November. It can be hot, warm or cool. The weather is quite different. That depends on the places you visit. You can travel to Alexandra in Central Otago and Hastings in Hawk's Bay.
Autumn is from March to May. It is a pleasant season in New Zealand. The temperature is a few degrees lower than that of summer.
The winter season runs from June to August. The mountainous areas are covered with snow during winter and there is a little rainfall in some places. This is a good time for skiing.

In the United Kingdom, there are four seasons called spring, summer, autumn and winter. In America autumn is called Fall due to the leaves falling from the trees.
Winter Winter time is very cold, but it looks beautiful when the ground is covered in snow. A lot of birds will fly to warmer climates as it is too cold in the UK. Spring In spring time, lambs are born and soon will run and jump around the fields. Flowers start to grow again that have been asleep through the winter months. Four Seasons of a Tree
There was a man who had four sons. To teach them not to judge (评价) things too quickly, the man sent his sons to go and look at a tree far away in turns. The first son went in winter, the second in spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in fall.
When they came back, he asked them to say what they saw. The first son said that the tree was not beautiful at all. The second son said no; it was covered with green leaves, and full (充满) of hope. The third son said there were many flowers that looked so beautiful, it was the most wonderful thing. The last son disagreed with all of them, he said there was lots of fruit in the tree, full of life and harvest (收获).
The man then told his sons that they were all right, but they each saw only one season in the tree's life. He told them, "The enjoyment, happiness and love that come from that life can only be judged at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, harvest of your fall."
Remember: you cannot judge a tree, or a person by only one season.

Spring
In nature, the spring season is the beginning of a year. Trees begin to bud (发芽). Easter egg hunts are held in the springtime to celebrate the season. Rainy days help the growth of the flowers, grass and trees during the spring.
Summer
For many students, summer is a time of relaxation and a break from schoolwork. The Fourth of July is celebrated in America with some outdoor activities.
