Greet students and say hello to them. And guide students to watch a video.(Hello, everybody! Let’s watch a video together. Try to watch the video carefully and remember animals’ names as many as possible and then I’ll invite some of you to voice. What can you see in the video Do you know them and like them Why do you like them Today let’s continue to learn unit5.) students to guess the animals.(Boys and girls, apart from lions, tigers ,giraffes ,elephants . Let’s play a guessing game to guess what they are )Students get the names of animals :tigers, giraffes, lions, elephants etc. Presentation Guide students to learn names of animals and the description word,panda,lion,giraffe,koala,tiger,elephant; cute,small,big,smart,beautiful,scary,lazy,etc.(Everybody, let’s try to remember the adjectives. And then check your memory. Look at the pictures quickly and guess what animals they are.) Guide students to learn the sample sentences: Where are they from What do you think of them Listening Pre-listening Ask students to do the task.Match the description words with the animals.And check it together. Guide students to continue to practice new learning. While-listening Ask students to read the description word first .Play the recording and ask students to circle the description words they hear in 1a. Invite students to check the answers. Play the recording for second time and ask students to do the listening task. Play the recording for the third time and guide students to check the answers. Post-listening Let students learn the listening materials and try to retell . Speaking Guide students to talk about the animals they like with their partners based on the former learning.Students can talk about animals in these aspects:What animals do you like Why Then ask students to present their speaking. Writing After listening and speaking , students need to output their input. Write a description of an animal you like. A sample writing will be given to students. Students learn the sample and begin to write their writing.Lastly,students present their work. Moral learning Animals are our friends, we must look after them for live in the same small world. To love animals is to love ourselves. Show the video to let students know that because of humans’ behavior may animals are in danger. We are friends and we should protect them. Summary Guide students to summarize what they have learned: We know different kinds of animals. We learn how to describe animals and express preference. Homework Write a conversation about what animals you like.
